Has any member of the forum actually seen one of these new trailers?

I like the layout of the unit due to the ability to seperate off the shower/bath area to either the main salon or bedroom. Also, I think the rear dinette might provide better views and a little more privacy at campsites.

If anyone has done a "walk through" of one of these, I would be interested in your impressions, good or bad.

I can't tell from Airstream's website if it is possible to secure the rear door, when it is opened, flush against the side of the trailer. It looks as if the awning arm might interfere.

New Safari 25FB

Alamo City RV Center has one in stock w/stratus interior. See pictures at www.alamocityrvcenter.com. The door is held open by a latch-looks like the old sreen door L-shape latch. This holds the door at about 90 degrees so it does not interfer with the awning arm.

That has to be the perfect layout. One of those radical shifts in design "rules" that results in an obviously better product.

So can I move the door on my overlander since I have it apart and reconfigure the layout????? This will need it's own thread. I think may I can.

there is one on the lot at airstream of arkanasas. i looked it over a few weeks ago. it is neat, however not being able to open the door fully is an issue imo.

i think it depends a lot on how many travelers and what seasons for useage.

an end dinette is usefull if you plan to eat often indoors but most of us are outside for eating whenever possible and the extended sofa/seat section is some what odd...i didn't like that part. also many back in rv slots aren't real interesting at the back and don't forget that's where the sewer hook ups often flow.....

i do like front bedrooms or front galleys. the 30ft safari with a front bedroom is a nicer layout from my view and the option of sofa or chairs/table and the dinette creates a lot of mid coach flexiblity with a full rear streetside bath.

also i heard they are going to offer an "office space" option instead of the rear bunks which would be great for computer work, writing and so on.

the rear door model is neat at first glance but not so useful until more refined and designed with a proper door/awning arrangement.

We walked through one at Bates when we bought our Safari SE. Good use of space, but I didn't like the sense of sitting in the galley when on the sofa. as already metioned, the door swing was also an issue. Just didn't like the "feel" when inside. Very subjective thing for sure.

I agree ... the dealer here in West Palm Beach has one and they have the LCD T.V. option. It is positioned at the kitchen end of the sofa. It seems very awkward to sit on the sofa and turn towards the end of the sofa to see the T.V.
