We're leaving Southlake in August to go to Lincoln Natl. forest near Cloudcroft NM. There will be a few other streamers going. If you're up for another one let me know, we have a golden retriever also & can caravan up there. Safe travels!

Inflt -- You're probably already out the door. Congrats on making a fun choice!
I've got a Titan and a trailer 1000# lighter than your Safari SE. The good thing about the tow package is the tranny temp gauge, though I wish it had the actual temps on it. Winding along sharp up-and-down roads at slow speeds can cause it to rise pretty quickly -- and that happened to me at about 25 degrees in West Virginia. Pull over, put it in Park and leave the engine running -- the transmission cooler worked pretty well -- at those temps!
"Tow Capacity" is all public relations. The engine and tranny will pull all of the advertised 9000# but the only way this fits within specs is with minimal in-truck weight and minimal options. Certainly do your math on the tow vehicle's GVWR. Yes, I am seriously considering a 25' Safari FB Special Edition -- and making plans to upgrade to 3/4-ton before I leave the prairie!
luckydc (Paul) -- the Special Edition windows open right from the top like the CCDs. I really love that on my Argosy!!
