Extended Warranty for 2005 Safari?

Hello! I just purchased a 2005 28' Safari from a local dealership. I will take delivery on March 30th and have until then to decide on buying the extended warranty. This would cost $3200 for 6 years of coverage. All components on the trailer are original except for the fridge, which is new. Warranty will cover all appliances, furnace, AC, LP system, Water/Waste systems, chassis frame, brakes, suspension, seals & gaskets. I'm looking for info and advice, regarding longevity of Airstream components and cost of likely repairs within this 6 year period. Thank you so much!

Read the fine print carefully. Most dealer warranties are basically worthless. Better to put the $3200 profit booster to the dealer in a maintenance savings account under your control than hand all that cash to a dealer that may not even exist in 6 years.
Most long-time Airstream owners don’t bother with these warranties because of the exclusions, or the requirement for overpriced ongoing yearly maintenance and inspection fees to keep the warranty alive. Not a good deal IMHO. I’ve never even bought an extended warranty on a car, much less an Airstream. Put good comprehensive insurance on it for accidents and the like, and drive on.

Read the fine print as stated. To put into perspective I bought a 05 Safari back in 2016 and have put about $50 into repair costs in 3 years. All appliances are still original.

I will guarantee that within 3 camping trips you will find something that you really "have to have". ☺️
