25FB Shower Stall Seat

I don't care for the "seat" in the shower stall. The seat makes the shower more cramped than it already is, IMO. Could I someday have a new shower pan installed without that seat to give me more room? Maybe there's some equipment underneath the pan that requires use of that space. Does anyone know?

Converter? Batteries? Furnace? Water heater? Those are the biggies, if you can get behind it, maybe you can see if there's anything there. Maybe a wheel well? If it's a wheel well, you might as well just learn to live with it, but most anything else can be moved, depending on how bad you want the extra room in an area you spend less than 3% of your camping life.

Go in the closet between the shower and fridge. Remove a few Phillips head screws from the horizontal panel on top of the lump at the back of the wardrobe. A trouble light and mirror will tell you what is up in that space. I've looked at the idea of adding shutoff valves for the outside shower (a shortcoming of the product in terms of cold weather traveling IMO).

I don't find a problem taking Navy showers in my FB Safari. Do you see more of this problem with unlimited showers; ie, a water & sewer hookup at the site?

I believe the only things in that area on a 25' FB are water lines for the city connection and the outside shower/faucet connection. I do not believe there are any significant components under that shower "seat" area.

Again, I speak only as a "visitor" to AS TTs, since I haven't yet got mine, but in all the ones I've looked at, I'm always glad to see the "seat", since I am 5'17" tall, and would only be continually hitting my head in a stand-up shower.

So, people not as tall as I am could use either style, but tall people can only use the seated version.

You could remove the wheel, but probably not a good idea.

The other unhelpful answer is to use the outside shower. Most people won't believe they really saw a naked guy taking a shower*, and if you take a shower just before you leave, there may not be enough time for the cops to catch you. Public nudity is generally protected by the Constitution, but you may have to explain that to a judge and hire a lawyer. Since the shower is the thing that most quickly fills the grey water tank, outdoor showers will keep the tank from overfilling. If it's breezy outside or a strong sun, you will dry off faster. The breeze can be supplemented when you try to escape the cops.

*You could wear clothes and may not get as clean, but will marginally clean the clothes thereby avoiding exorbitant fees at campground washers and dryers as well as constitutional lawyer fees and local fines and penalties. To dry clothes (after removing) tie to bumper and drive fast enough to keep them elevated.

Visiting another old thread. I do not have a 25FB but under my shower seat is the water heater.
