Only 7 spaces remaining ! This is the only opportunity that we know of where you can stand shoulder to shoulder with professionals in the field of Airstream restoration! Imagine being able to spend 4 days in Area 63, or watch someone who builds and repairs airframes, most shops I know of don't allow you to watch the last time I checked - So I know we will have some who won't be able to attend because we always do - but for those of you signed up we sure looking forward to seeing y'all !

We attended last year. If you're on the fence about attending, you should definitely go.
The organization, expertise, preparedness, camaraderie, encouragement ... everything was marvelous, enjoyable, wonderful... I can't say enough good things about it.
All the speakers and demonstrators were well informed and answered questions with clarity and detail. No question was left unanswered. It was like a campground full of Airstream PhDs ready and willing to help.
Of the thousands of dollars that I have spent restoring my trailer, attending this event was the best spent money.
Thanks so much to the staff, contributors, sponsors, and all who help put on this event. It's very kind and aware of you to recognize the need and contribute your time.

Coming to the Vintage Academy Swap Meet THIS WEEK!
Original Vintage Light Fixtures from a 1962 Airstream Ambassador double. There are 3 double and 2 single metal box style fixtures that hung over the bed, the kitchen, the bath and the vanity/desk area. Also 2 sconce covers from the living room. Photos show the double/single, with and without lexan diffusers, the size and back and front. One of the doubles is a lovely avocado green from the kitchen

So no need 2 bring the picnic table as they have them on site. (Plus Ken said no time to sit at one) No need to haul wood as no fire rings. No need for extra jackets as the Minnesotans said its warm. And no need for much food as lots of that is covered along with the tasty Airstream food trailer Sebastiano's.
Just trying to decide whether to run to storage and bring the avocado green 62 magic chef stove and porcelain toilet to the swap meet.

Coming to the Vintage Academy Swap Meet near you TOMORROW!
One Original Vintage Magic Chef stove with oven, not avocado green as I claimed, but cute nonetheless.
And one Vintage Original Porcelain Toilet w/tank and riser. Possibly the cutest toilet ever.
Both are out of a 1962 Ambassador.
See you soon!

What a great event, busy but learning so much. Had a great raffle to cap off the evening. Just won a lovely Airstream birdhouse and a VTS T-shirt.

We'd like to thank Ken, the presenters, & everyone who helped in any way with giving us the opportunity to learn so much & getting to meet, in person, so many fine, good people. We sincerely appreciate our being included. We are now armed & ready to get back to work on our Bubble, can't wait!
All of the presenters were so knowledgable & open to sharing -- just amazing. There is one person who put something into perspective for me, personally, & that was Levon; he has his technique down to such a science! In about 30 mins. he was able to take an oxidized skin up to polished! When I think of the hours, days, weeks I have spent on getting the oxidation off of about 3/4 of our Bubble without even getting to the Cyclo stage. I walked away amazed!
I want to say that all of the presenters were amazing & knew their areas well; we have high regards for all of them. Kip, Uwe, "Bittner (sorry forgot your first name), Lewster, Luke & Ed are fonts of information & we are going home armed with knowledge on how to remove dents, reshape our door, all sorts of info on ac's, solar, water heaters, frigs., tanks, plumbing, riveting -- Frank says Kip's presentation was riveting, & much, much more. We highly recommend all to attend sometime.
I also want to say that we were lucky enough to meet some our fellow AirForums members (besides those presenting), & I felt like a kid meeting them, such as "Minno"; Georgianna & husband from Texas; & "Landshark". I'm sorry if I've forgotten anyone, but the time there was so action packed & we met so many people!
We're on our way back to Ohio. So far our drive home has been less hair raising than our drive out -- we drove out thru tornados, high winds, & dustnados. Our first two days, this being our second, have been perfect except for 100F degree days & with any luck the next two or three will be beautiful too.
Thanks to all again.
Frank & Deb

DITTO Frank and Deb that was excellently put!
We also had a very positive experience. Great instruction, well presented by fellow Airstreamer's who share the passion and have been in our shoes. They actually "get us" and understand why we hauled the relics home to save a piece of Americana. The presenters had busy schedules, lots of prep work at home, and repeatedly answered our questions with knowledge, skills and humor.
We learned so much from the presenters and from the fellow vintage owners. We got to see several other trailers way ahead of us in restoring and see how they solved their problems. And yes it was fun to put faces to the forum handles.
If you have a Vintage Trailer, the Vintage Academy and AirForums, should be high on your list of things to participate in. I would go so far to say if you are looking for a trailer in your future if would be well worth it to attend as you will be much better educated for your trailer searching buying experience.
Thank you Ken, Suzanne, Uwe, Steve, Kip, Luke, Lewster, Ed, Pat,Levon, Susan, VTS Steve and Vicky and the sponsers and support staff. You made it a great academy and we will be back.

We are home safe and sound, with a very calm drive home compared to the one out there! We loved the Academy, and meeting everyone! Worth every penny and minute we spent. We highly recommend it!
