A few more details;
2 weekend passes come with each entry and you do not have to register your vintage tow vehicle unless you want to receive super prize tickets and extra people passes, also vintage tow vehicle would be considered for awards if registered. Non vintage parking will be assigned.
As to people viewing your trailer inside-
we will publish a time for open house and campers can be toured or whatever the owner prefers.Provision will be made to display a sign or such stating open house for your camper. As for me- I choose not to let so many people inside, but that's just my choice.
And its subject to change....
Right now we are on track ( literally) for a very nice vintage camper show!

More on the SHOW!
I had a tour of the facilities at AMS today and was very impressed with the layout and the plans. The area where our vintage campers will be parked is a large blacktop with a number of mostly level sites. Electric hookups at each site ( 20 amp). Water is available nearby, but will not be run to the campers. You can fill a bucket or such if you choose.
-Open house will be both days from noon to 4, you can choose to participate or not to, by displaying on "Open House" sign in your window.
-Special trophies and awards can be won by the campers on display.
In this same area there will be a motorcycle show on one end, and a Barbecue competition on that side as well.
A stage for live music will be in front of the area with all of us getting a good show. If you are a picker bring your 'axe' as after the show we can use the stage to jam or sing.
Bathrooms with showers are nearby, after a brief walk through a gate to another section. Not a long walk.
The staff is encouraging vintage campers to arrive on Friday. The morning or early afternoon is best for arrival. You can of course stay in the camper Friday night.
-There will be a brewery tour and a cruise for those who want to attend at a local spot on Friday night. Come ready to have fun.
The gate to the inside track area will close at 6:30 or so, and there will be guard on duty overnight. You will have parking for your vehicle and access to your camper. Also there is a lot/field out of the track where you can dry camp if you choose to get there Thursday, but you will have to move the camper inside the track on Friday.
- I implore everyone to reserve before March 15 so you can get access to electric equipped sites. There will be a $10 electric hookup charge paid onsite. Anyone registering after Mar 15 cannot be guaranteed electric hookup, and may have to park their camper in a nearby area.
-This show will have a section indoors for vintage Packards and other high end show vehicles. Outdoors, and outside of the camper/bike area will be open display for customs, hot rods, vintage cars and more.
-Many vendors and food vendors will be located around the area as well.
-A track for “cone” racing will be nearby.
Lots going on!!
Any other questions are welcomed at ALANSDAVID@GMAIL.COM
Y'all Come!! We want to turn this into an annual event for campers only and grow it. Tell me what you'd like to see in a a show like this.

Here is a video from the 2014 show. No campers in this but a good idea of what IS.
Plenty of room for more to join in on the fun...

March 15 is the cut off for the $35 rate. Weekend fee plus ticketmaster charge. Add $10
at the site for electric hookups...

Is where the trailers are going to be parked, on dirt or pavement ? If my awning comes in by then I need to figure out the pegs.

I wouldn't think you could put out the awning if it uses pegs. which mine does as well. We will all be on blacktop. And people walking through could hit the cords

planning for next year Motorama 2018. The Summit folks are expecting to hit 2500 cars on display.
Plan is to move the vintage campers to a grassy area off the track. Might make it more like real world camping.
Also an easier means of registering will be instituted and the show will have more targeted advertising.
Other suggestions and idea are welcomed.

Pit area awnings are often anchored with weight. Buckets, barrels, bags and vehicles are used to locate and hold the guys. Also helps mark the location so folks do not trip. It's a common issue as no facility wants their paving damaged with stakes. Containers can be filled with water that can be drained to make the containers transportable. For every problem, there is a solution. Probably an even better one waiting for a smart ASer to promote. Pat

Definitely want to do this next year! Between my dad brother and myself we're going to need a BIG truck! 2 trailers, 3 cars and an Indian motorcycle, where will they all fit?

Good Time!
For those who missed it, we had a GREAT time. It was well organized for their first time displaying vintage trailers. This was a show of all shows if you liked vintage cars, motorcycles, trucks, semis, vintage trailers, newest vendor products for your classics, parts swap meet, motorcycle stunt drivers, BIG FOOT, a timed road rally that you could participate in, BQ Cook-Off, and finally at the end of the day, take a lap or two around the speedway track. Yes we will be back!

I agree it was fun seeing the race track and old friends again and all the resto cars must of been 1500 of them on the front straight alone. Thanks for inviting us and look forward to next year doing it again. Maybe we can all get together for an exhibition pot luck/beer party with all the other vendors and workers that stay the night, especially the BBQ cook off vendors.
Thanks

looks like we could have a music stage for the campers next year. They are not having the motorcycles as a separate group.

Sounds great, it would be nice to be up on the front area where everything was going on so we can enjoy it too. If it's possible to plan a meet and greet on Saturday after the show closes for the exhibitors, this is what SEMA does that helps connect people with the same interest. I didn't check because of the rain on Sunday when we pulled out but if the camp ground would let us dump before we leave it would be one less thing to bring home.

It was hard for me because I don't like sitting around much, not sure that would get better though. Honestly I am not sure I am going to go again, although I've been asked to help promote it once more.
