Is there a limit to the number of Airstreams they can accommodate downtown Eaton? Do they limit the number of applications? One last thing, what are the specs for electrical power thats provided? Looks like a great event. Wife and I are seriously considering heading that way next year to attend. Thanks

There is a limit but they can always accomodate one more. How far away are you? There are plenty of spaces available this year. Hitch up and get yourself here. More trailers are arriving tomorrow (Friday)
Power is limited to 7 A. You can charge your batteries, run limited lights. No air conditioner or electric heaters. Refrigerator and water heater on propane.

Very interesting. How do they limit people to 7 amps? Do they put a breaker on each extension cord?
Just curious.

Two campers are plugged into one 15amp circuit. So you just think of it as you each have 7amps. 7+7=14. If you think 7.5 then you would blow the fuse 7.5+7.5=15. The key word is "think". If you run you refrigerator and/or water heater on electric and blow the fuse you neighbor is not going to be happy. Most everyone is running everything off LP any just have their converter plugged in for lights.

I'm curious. How do the organizers move trailers that are equipped with Pro Pride hitches or similar?

See the video above, they use a tractor and are able to switch hitches (thought I saw a ball mount, ProPride, and Henley). I have the ProPride and was asked if I could back in myself to save them time from switching the tractor over, with three people helping I backed in like a champ in no time. I think the city provides the blocks to level you out. The whole process was very well coordinated as they only have the street shut down for a few hours.

City Wants Feedback From Attendees
Jon Stoppels is the Eaton Rapids City Manager and is actively involved with running Urban Air this year. The city has assumed an increased role in managing the event and will be even more involved next year. Jon would like feedback from attendees so the organizers can incorporate improvements where possible.
Send comments via the Eaton Rapids feedback page:
http://cityofeatonrapids.com/index.p...d=1&Itemid=278
or directly to Jon's email. I've written his address cryptically so be sure to substitute the appropriate characters when you type his address:
jstoppels (at) cityofeatonrapids (dot) com
Some things to consider when organizing your comments...
- Did you have a good time? Tell him why or why not.
- Will you come back again sometime? If not, why?
- What was your favorite part of the event? Least favorite?
- What would you do differently if you could suggest a change?
- Entertainment was provided on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening. What did you think? Would you do anything differently?
- Did you attend any of the community events in the area? Miller Farms, Pancake Breakfast, Chili Lunch, etc. Which did you like or dislike?
- If there was one thing the city could do differently what should that be?
- What did you think about parking your trailer? Your tow vehicle?
- Other?
