Hey folks, with only a little over a week left until our rally, we wanted to remind you not to forget to RSVP so we have a head count for goody bags. Also dont forget to bring any raffle items you wish to bestow to others, and gift for the trailer park gift exchange!

We will be there!
We are looking forward to this! We have had a great winter in FL, just to come home to more snow. Larry has had to re-winterize the Airstream. This may be a "dry camping" weekend rally! Mother Nature should be getting it right pretty soon....geez!
See you there!

I think the heated track building is going to be the hit of the weekend. LOL!

We are getting thawed out and are planning to head to Wooster sometime on that Friday. Unless there is an Ohio spring blizzard we will be there! Looking forward to seeing everyone again

We picked up the stuff from the visitors center today and printed out all the info for the driving tours. Tomorrow it all gets assembled! While we were down there, we popped in at the fairgrounds, its easier to see the designated sites with a little snow cover. Haha. We also checked out "local roots" and "friendtique" looking forward to seeing everyone!!

My vote is for Troyer's. Local place. Lots of cream sticks and cinnamon nut rolls, please.

Hope you guys have a great time and at least tolerable weather. My brother in law in Hiram can hardly stand it any more. Then the small town near him burned mostly to the ground. garretsville. He says the people just want this winter to be over. Have a great rally. Jim

Thursday is my day to be in Detroit, so we will get to JAFB a little late. We'll drop the Airstream and the firewood trailer at the fairgrounds and then join over at JAFB if it's not too late. We won't stay overnight Thursday in the camper, though. We'll be back on Friday after the kids are out of school and I am done with work.

A quick note on JAFB. They now take credit cards. No alcohol other than what they sell on premesis is "technically" allowed. As we learned last year, if you're bringing in your own hard stuff or wine, just have it in an opaque water bottle of something. They are cool with that as long as there's beer drinkers at the table, too.

Dry camping
After the cold splash of more snow today, we will be "dry camping", I think. Mother Nature could turn up the heat a little. Larry and I will be down on Thursday morning. We hope to find lots of friends on this weekend! Anyone else coming on Thursday??

I loaded up the cargo trailer today with the campfire necessities. The smoker won't go in until later since it's in use cooking the family dinner for tonight. The Airstream is mostly re-losded from the winter hibernation. I didn't put water through it today as I had originally planned thanks to the cooler than predicted weather. I hope to do that Monday or Tuesday, but who knows... Maybe Friday at the rally will be the first time she gets water. One thing I do know is that my leak at the curbside rear that I have been chasing for half a year is still present! Grrrr.
