I have gotten a few questions via email...

Swimming? No pool at Coopers Lake, however there is a wonderful stream in our area with a "swimming hole". This is a "at your own risk" area of the campground.

Don and BBQ? Yes, Mistral Blue has taken the challenge and excepted the roll as Pit Boss. He will be making a sensuous experience out of some fine grass feed beef for us, on Saturday. He will be smoking some brisket and some roasts. Knowing Don, he will also have something else cooking low and slow in the smoker. Hold, on now you Vegetarians, we will be taking care of you also.

Dogs? on leash, pick up behind, not in the eating area. Short and simple there.

Jason,

Until then... here are some activities for the kids relating to the site.

The Fallingwater folks have a book "Moxie: The Dachshund of Fallingwater" which offers a tour like experience for kids too young to visit in-person.

See you in June!

Falling Water is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Book early on line and get the semi private tour. The extra cost is worth it. You get more time in the house and see more of it.

At the moment the intent is to book a private group that hopefully will get us into the back room.

More as information comes in from their staff.

Cool! I have to say, you picked a good "first" event. It may spoil you for all the rest.

For anyone else wanting to join in the fun... here is the registration info

Click here to access the REGISTRATION FORM ... then simply print it out, fill in the information, and mail it back with a check.

We've picked a great location this year... Antsy says he is bringing the whole family (that may take up all 115 spots ), Rose will be back with her Kettle Corn, Don (Mistral Blue) is helping us with an extra special dinner on Saturday night... and as always, Frank brings us those fantastic chuckwagon breakfasts.

For me, part of what makes "THE BASH" so fun is all the folks that take the time to share their interests and talents with others. And not less amazing are the folks who join in fun. Here is a link to the preliminary SCHEDULE OF EVENTS. If you have something you would like you add, let us know. A day trip to see Fallingwater is on my list.

Frank, Dale and I are looking forward to seeing you all at Coopers Lake this summer.

Boomer was here with 5 more today

Hey All

Boomer, my mailman, neighbor, and close friend, is getting the Airstream Bug more and more as he continues to deliver me the Bash registrations. He handed me 5 more forms today with utter shock. Registration is already almost halfway full and has been open for only a few weeks. At this rate, we expect this camp out to sell out real soon. We advise everyone to get their forms in ASAP to reserve their spot.

Boomer loves my Airstream and wants his own. He has volunteered to be our official postmaster for the Bash if called to duty.

Remember: Bash registration makes a great stocking stuffer!

See ya down the road, Ace

Ace, is there a site to see who is signed up. I sent in from Canada and don't know how long it will take to get to you.

I don't think you have any problems Doug.

Viagra gets here from Canada is just a couple of days. Overnight if I special order. (Never had a reason for that either)

Doug, we are trying to keep simple, so we did not launch a website. If everyone that sends in a form goes to this page and RSVP's we will have a good list going. I hesitate in publishing any personal info...

Doug, you Canadians are about 40% of all those registered so far. The Canadians have no issues with thinking about next summer and making solid plans. To prove this point, a Canadian, who will be anonymous, over nighted their registration. NOW THAT IS DEDICATION!!!!!

Frank, I have two "dining canopies", which you are welcome to use, one is probably at least 10x20, and the other a bit smaller. They are the type, though, that use poles to form either an "a" frame, or Lean to-type structure. You are probably looking for a pop-up??

If you think there may be any need for these, I am happy to throw them in the car, and I have at least eight poles, and lots of tie-downs that I can bring.

Frank you are right about Streramer's dedication. But the 40% Canada number is a little on the high side. I think we have 6 or 7 in from Canada. We also had a overnight letter from SC. We have Streamers coming from as far Alabama, Wyomoning, Tenn, MI, Vermont,NY, OH, CT and many more states.

The way things are going, I'm gonna plan on next year. About Bash time 2011 I hope to maybe have my shell off, frame rebuilt, maybe some tanks and new axels/wheels ... We'll see. You all have a GREAT time! I'll be watching the threads :-)

Rae, Last year my client, Elly, came with a truck bed tent. Her trailer and frame were in separate parts of my yard at the time. This is an "all included in the mix" event. SOB's are welcome, tents are welcome, anyone with a desire to celebrate Wally's Birthday is welcome.

Come on Rae. It will be a lot warmer than the Can Opener was last year and the food is just as good.

I got to say you add a new dimension to camping. Why stop now?

I second Frank's encouragement. I had a blast camping in my truck tent and even though I missed MY trailer, I was very happy being surrounded by everyone else's trailers and I still got to eat Frank's fantastic breakfast! I'm still installing the insulation and probably won't be much more than an aluminum tent for Bash II. - elly
