New Year's by the Sea

How else to start a New Year properly than by having a Mini Rally by the Sea!
TimeMachine was able to reserve some nice beach front spots at Huntington City Beach, which worked out great. What a grreat spot to people watch, enjoy the ocean air, and have a good time with friends. Although not what many consider an idyllic camping spot, time and time again it was proven that it's the company that counts the most!
In the pictures are John , Milo and Karen, Uwe and Didi. Happy New Year!

50 Miles North

Hi guys,
We were by the same sea, at Malibu. Great weather, huh? We'll see you at 29 Palms (hope it works out for you, Uwe). Here are a couple of pictures of the view, and the neighbor's view. Ron

Very nice, Ron. We had looked at the Malibu RV Park, but they were going to charge us a huge holiday premium over their already high price, which we decided to convert to booze instead and went for a cheaper place to stay.

They did hit us hard with that premium price. I wasn't expecting it, but a promise is a promise to the bride. By the end of the weekend, it seemed like a bargain. What can I say? We're easy. Ron

I hear you, Ron. I'd love to go and camp there on a non-holiday weekend, though.

Milo, Uwe:
This was our 5th or 6th stay there. We really enjoy it and it is so close by. Because of the short drive, we will sometimes run over on short notice. Next time we will let you folks know. Ron

The Pacific again....

Airstreams, ocean, family, New Year's. What else could be better?

Here's some photos of me working hard (both inside and outside the Argosy), and the ocean again....... just a bit more north (as in Cannon Beach OR).

I was surprised how many folks were out (the camp was almost filled). Only $27.00 a night! I know Malibu Beach RV..... take caution from the toxic "dump" that I know "something" about (ask me about blue tanks and empting black tanks with a cheap accordian hose.... ). The rates are probably from the toxic clean up!

Happy New Year everyone!
Marc

Nice

Marc,
Looks like many of us West Coasters had the same idea.

I posted two pictures from the November ECR rally at Malibu in the November photo contest. Our unit seems to go there about once a year. Here is another picture.

Malibu Rally?

Sounds as though a future Malibu Rally may be in order, let's hope sooner than later.

Yes, it does sound like a good idea, indeed. It does tend to get fogged in, though, especially around May/June. We need some intell on when is the best time to avoid the fog.
