Monterey Historic Automobile Races

I'm just putting this thread out there to see if any of you will be attending this year's Monterey Historic Automobile Races at Laguna Seca Raceway? The featured marque will be Indy Roadsters, front engine Indy cars from the glory days of racing. Their link can be found at:

The Rolex Monterey Historic Automobile Races

I will be camping there the entire weekend. Any other streamers attending. If so, please stop by and say Hi - I'm staying in the Can-Am campground. Here's a photo my my campsite from last year.

A friend of mine (also on the AS forum) usually attends this event, and races an aluminum-bodied Triumph TR3 special called Peyote. (Once you see it, you will understand the name.) He hauls it around in a modified triple-axle Airstream trailer named Nero. I am not sure if he will be attending this year. (Edit: I didn't see him on th entry list, so he probably won't be there. He's on a racing tour of the U.S. this year.)

I wish we could go! It is a sight to see, I have been told. Have a GREAT time!

Susan

Monterey Historics

Hey Todd,

The Monterey Historics at Laguna Seca is an annual family reunion event for us. My wife and I saw your Safari there last year - we stopped by to say hi, but nobody was home. This is the first year we'll be taking our Airstream - we've always roughed it in the past. We'll be parked up in the Grand Prix area.

-Mark

P.S. I'm looking forward to the open-wheeled Indy cars - should be a blast.
