I don't even know if I am a member anymore. I registerd when it was advertised as free and no rules. I refused to register again especially when all this talk about restructuring, insurance, and dues came up. This happened before TAC's first year expired. I signed up for life. Not to do a due over changes are coming. I don't know what is happening and I have not seen much about TAC. I have been all consumed with work and my 1960 restoration. Plus my 73 has developed some issues that need taking care of. We just finished camping and are getting ready to head out again.

I am all for Stone Mountain because it is 30 minutes away. I have been to the park many times, but never camped there. We always go to Fort Yargo and Hard Labor Creek. GREAT IDEA!!!

We would love to attend, but it's going to depend on the dates.

The kids all went to St Mt for a day trip last week and they said prices have increased quite a bit. Apparently, you now have to pay for each thing you do, per venue, some how. Not sure exactly what that means. At any rate, should be a nice time.

Stone Mt Park Rally 2012

I will be meeting with the campground rally coordinator in the next week or so to tie down some possible dates. I may need to put another poll out on preferred dates.

Have you been in a while? It's sure different than it was "back in the day." I remember when is use to be $5 a car and almost everything else was free. Silver Dollar City has had a contract there since 1997 but I still can't get use to the idea of paying big bucks for more attractions. (Yes, there are lots more things to do there now.)

I would be interested in this rally - sounds fun.

Re cost: I made reservations for an August trip the other day; premium site was $57/night.

Like the others are mentioning here...the dates are important to interest. I am always up for a rally, especially a TAC rally. For something this distance away, though, I would need to plan well in advance.

Stone Mt. Poll

Just a note that although the event is listed as TAC-GA, everyone is welcome to attend.

I have stayed at the newly remodeled RV sites and they are very nice and close to the lake. They refer to these as premium sites and I would recommend them for sure. Another to do item is to bring your kayak because the lake is pretty large and boats are limited to small troll motors and there is a very good launch spot in the park.

I will be lining up a discount package price to include all attractions in the park for those who want to partake, but let me say there is a lot to do without paying for the special stuff. You can hike, go bicycling, kayaking, walk around and take in lunch in the old town village all without any additional cost.

More later

TAC-GA Stone Mt. Park

I just spoke with the rally coordinator for the RV Park and the dates are April 26-29, 2012. I can post additional information later if enough interest is expressed in this event. I'm looking for a minimum of 25 Airstream Units expressing an interest in attending.

I'll put us on a "definite maybe".

Due to that being a non-holiday weekend within the school year, it makes it a bit tougher. But, the oldest is only in kindergarten then, so not a huge loss to take him out for a day or two. The website of the park makes it look like a great place to visit.

We plan to attend our first TAC get together. If you have not experienced the Lazer light show it is really neat. I plan to put this on our calendar.

The Lazar light show has been completely redone with current technology so it's a new show. A lot of remodeling has been done in the last year or so. The park is a neat place with a whole lot to do. I hope enough folks indicate a willingness to go.

The rally coordinator will provide free entry into the park and a rally discount price per spot plus discounted park event tickets IF we get at least 15 units to attend. I really want to see at least 25. Otherwise it's just a meetup with no rally discounts.

Forgot to mention one of the main benefits of having the minimum number of units, the ability to set up in one area surrounding the commons area in premium sites with full hook ups including cable and wifi. If interested please indicate on the poll.

Not trying to be a party pooper here but I think the Laser Show doesn't start until Memorial Day weekend.

I could be wrong though. Maybe they have it just on the weekends before Memorial Day or something???

We're a "maybe" for this rally.
