Hey Dan

I'll be camping in the RV area with hook ups probably close to the multi purpose facility which is where they do the late night concerts. Feel free to swing by for a cold can and chat about Airstreams. I'm new to the scene just got my 1979 Excella last July and excited to be returning to Delfest for the 5th year!

ROCK ON!

Nice looking rig. I will look for you at Delfest.

Did you camp the previous four years there?

I've RV camped every year and every year I've been in a different place this is the first year I've purchased the RV Hook Up Pass. Last year I was comped a dry RV pass and tickets because I work one on one with Del McCoury's management team. There are a surprising amount of RVs at this festival because of how this festival is laid out. Only about 3 miles off the interstate and a paved road all the way to your campsite. Since they only have 150+ RV hook ups those go fast. And you'll be parked among other dry RV campers. Also note the arrival info on DelFest where you get your tickets and passes before heading to the festival site.

The photo below was taken from the backside of the grandstand and you can see the dry RV camping in the back and that continues to the left of the photo and that transitions into the Potomac Stage and then to the RV hook up sites.

Thanks for the discount code. $10 off is good.

Thanks also for the reminder about checking in before going to the festival site.

Looks like it is going to get quite hot. I may be testing out my new 5k AC (only 4.5 amps running) that I will be operating off my Honda 1,0000 watt genny. I will only cool the back half of the TW.

See you Thursday.

Good to meet you Dan at Delfest, I'm already looking forward to Delfest 2013.
Check out the photo of the RV camping from the grand stand, I spot your Airstream tucked in among all those other campers.

It was good to meet you and Jenn also.

Looks like there are two Airstreams in the photo. Mine is about 2/3 of the way over (L to R). It is next to a fiver. Here is a photo of mine before the nice empty green space got filled in.

I will be there next year for sure. Fantastic festival and Del McCoury is a class act- the way he came on the loud speaker to tell everyone of the revised schedule after the storm.

Are you going to Rudyfest? It is on June 21-24 in Grayson, Ky (www.rudyfest.com). I am trying to talk my wife into going.

Festivals

Looks like I'm head over to the Appalachian Uprising this weekend and then FLOYDFEST. Keeping my options open for AUG and SEPT, might try to do a camping trip during that month. Waiting on the line up for Shorki Hills Grassroots Festival to be announced.

GRAYSON, KENTUCKY??? I thought I was the only person outside of Carter County that knew where that was. My company has done a fair bit of work at the Smithfield Foods plant up there. It was also my stopover on the way back from Iowa City to Raleigh, NC.

Nice to know there is a festival there, might need to see if I can schedule a jobsite visit up there that weekend.
