I see where Colfax is. We will probably be taking 77 also. How will you go to JC, do you have reservations somewhere on the way?

Spent a glorious weekend here in Pismo Beach with 310 outstanding vintage rigs (and found a nice little vintage gift for my Bubblicious buddy...shhhh!). Starting our trek to JC mid-week. Keep the rubber side down and look forward to meeting everyone soon!

Hi Maggie, still love the blanket. I'm wrapping the truck and Terry in bubble wrap!

We will be taking US 52 to Wytheville, then I-77 most of the way. Google suggests US 35 instead of 77 for part of the route. I haven't decided whether to go with that suggestion, as sometimes those alternate routes can be more exciting than I would like.
We will be leaving here about 5 am, and driving straight through to Jackson Center.

We will not make it that far that quickly. You are definitely faster than we are... We are stopping in Fort Mills, SC to see friends then leaving early morning and heading your way. Probably won't be in your area until noon or so on Sat...Where are you staying in Jackson Center if you are getting there days before the rally?

Okay, all you folks goin' to the big shndig in JC---

Some of us have an annual family commitment this same weekend, but would still love to see the faces and shake the hands of those we only know by forums names.

Moraine View's 10th anniversary rally is the following weekend, and we would love for y'all to stop by on your way home. Check the rally postings for specifics, haven't figured out this iPad to know how to copy and paste.

Lots of nice folks and good cooks.

Travel safe, have a blast and come see us!

Maggie

John Barlow and I are in Zanesville, OH after a late start from home yesterday. We're spending the holiday weekend w/friends on their farm, about 50 miles or so from Jackson Center. We still won't arrive in JC early. We don't get up early anymore! Even the Rastapoodles sleep late when the Silver Annex is dark! We look forward to seeing and meeting everyone.

Sooo, we are sitting here in Oakley, Kansas with tornado warnings and huge hail dropping just a few counties east of here. Then the thought hits me....I don't think I mentioned our new, few-week-old Cloud to our insurance agent yet. Hope that by using the date/time stamp on my email we're covered....yikes!

1,300 miles behind us....only a 1,000 to go!

Keep us posted on your journey Thelma, Louise, Lucy & Ethel!

Forecast for Jackson Center looks great. After some unpleasant heat through Monday, we should see highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s. Who needs 30amp?

We are here in Jackson Center. Cute little town, very nice drive. But if you are on the road, be aware the police are pulling people over left and right. Many cars, and trucks pulled over from NC to Ohio especially going down the hills or mountains. We pulled Bertha a mile below the speed limit and they left us alone.

Be carefull out there!

Unhappy missing from Alumapalooza!

we find ourselves with a health matter that looks like it's going to preclude us from hitching up and running off to Alumapalooza tomorrow as we've planned for months....

so if you're still looking to go, we have a registration available for two adults and the basic 5 days / 4 nites.

please send a private email or PM with your name & phone number?

thanks!

hi Lynda,

regrettably, no trip to Albuquerque this year either! seems like we're on the "every other year" cycle. the VRR is always a great rally.

sorry that you're this close to NJ, and we'll not see you!

enjoy, and have a great time!

Many of them are here already, waiting in the parking lot for the event to open and parking to begin tomorrow morning.
