Airstreams at the Fort

Hello every one.
I just returned from Fort Wilderness and I ride all camp ground loops at least once or twice a day for exercise. I have noticed on this last trip which started on the 11th of October till this past Wednesday that there has been an average of at least 10 to 12 Airstreams there on most days.
A year after I purchased my trailer I was there for a rally and at the time had met some other air streamers as well as seeing some restored trailers which where of real interest.
I just wanted to know if there was any interest in a fall get together down there and organize a couple events related to our trailers and a group BBQ.
I just thought if people are there that time of year it would be nice to see a larger group of trailers.
Any ways just wanted to see if there was any interest.

George

Hi George. We were there in our EB October 27-November 2 in the 700 loop. What a great time, and we also noticed a larger than usual number of Airstreams this year. We go every Halloween, and would surely be interested in an Airstream Fort get together around that time. Best, Joe

We're going over next month for about three days to see the candle light processional. Really like Ft. Wilderness and the convenience of bus transportation.

Rust-

We go to Fort Wilderness 4+ times per year, with two trips before the end of this year and two more in the spring. Anytime there is an Airstream event at FW, we would want to know, and would definitely try to go!

I imagine that booking a group is a challenge. Heck, just getting one site can be a challenge this time of year. DW travel planners can setup "companion reservations" (I think they're called that), but I don't have any experience with a "rally" type setup. Maybe someone on here does?

Good idea to talk about 2016 fall now though, as a year or so out for planning would be best............

How About Silver Sisters?

We were down there for a week, summer before last, with our 36' Avion. In the 800 loop I believe it was (which I selected on purpose for it's remoteness and dog friendliness) and there were two Airstreams on our loop in addition to my monster Avion. It was Aluma-Beauty

I'd like to drag my trailer down there again. It could be a fun trip

When my children were "kids" back in the late 70's/early 80's we spent the Easter Holiday there 8 years in a row & have not been back since. So, if this happens count me in, although reservations & group logistics might be difficult for 2016 BUT 2017 is a alternative.....if someone takes the lead on this I'll gladly work on a committee with them.

We'll be down Nov. 10 - 14 for the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. Don't know site yet but stop on by - #5778. Live about 2 hrs away - so would be interested in rally there!

I can call and see what Disney say's about another Airstream get together and any help would be great.
I'm booked already for next year for a month.
