Airstream Tailgating?
Well college football is almost here. As a Penn State fan/alumni we have tailgated many times over the years...in a MH. I can't say I ever noticed any Airstream Tailgaters. Do any of our forum members tailgate in their Airstreams? ...Go Lions!

When I bought my Interstate, half the people I know immediately asked, "Can I borrow it for the [insert name of team] game this weekend?"
Sadly for them, I'm not much of a football fan, not even following my alma mater, Oklahoma State. Real life keeps me too busy for football.
As an aside, I'm sure that Airstream Interstates— which are made of fine German steel, not aluminum— would be welcome at the Iron Bowl!

I've been asked many a time to borrow it and even rent it.
Never gonna happen.
But it does do well tailgating.
Here we are a an air show and NASCAR race.

Go Dawgs. I don't mind that they lost - Bama is a good team - but...to not even get a BCS bowl after coming so close? The BCS really is truly messed up. I think UGA is going to just destroy Nebraska - UGA will be out for blood, and Nebraska did NOT look good against Wisconsin.
We've talked about tailgating on several occasions but haven't actually done it, in part because we're so far from UGA that it's a really long trip for a weekend. I'd be afraid that it would mostly be used as a bathroom, though.

There was a fellow in Denver that took a brand spanking new 2005 Bunkhouse, and TRASHED IT! He removed the front bedroom wall to open things up a bit. He removed the vinyl floor and just painted the subfloor blue, re upholtered everything Orange, peeled off the headliner material, and did his own tooling to the bare aluminum. He removed the sofa, and some furniture, leaving holes everywhere. The rear bunkroom was turned unto god only knows what!
However, he might have created the only tri powered keg-erator, and had a hell of a wet bar.
I made an offer of $15 k and it was accepted! I then ran away!
It was ruined and needed a total rehab! Word had it, that the unit was pulled no more than 20 miles in its whole life!

That would be great. I don't know how they park the RVs but I assume if we rolled in together they'd park us together. Or maybe it's a free-for-all...I really don't know.
I'll spring the idea on my wife...but as I said before, the issue is that it's ~600 miles one way, for what is essentially a weekend trip; we normally try to do no more than 250-300 miles in one day. (On the other hand, we're both Penn State fans, and she's an Ohio State fan, and both of those are closer to us, so that would be an easier way to try it out.)

Just noticed this thread, so as a Duck, had to add some photos from one of our games at Autzen Stadium in Eugene. We're in our 75th Anniversary David Winick Custom.

Honestly, that UGA vs. Bama game was the national title game IMHO. That game was intense...could there have been a closer game?! We Bama fans had a heart attack in those final 5 seconds!!!!!!
I will be looking foward to tailgating in the future if/when we get an AS - wife seems pretty gung ho at this point so it looks likely...take care!

Our 31 Classic emblazoned on the front with a Michigan emblem proudly sits in the football parking section in Ann Arbor to support our Woverines. Since they don't allow dogs in the stadium, it gives our dog a great place to relaz during the game.

Airstream tailgating
YES, that's what Airstreaming is all about...any reason to celebrate the good times. It doesn't get any better than tailgating with our NCAA & NFL teams around the country.
We tailgate frequently both home & away although we usually reserve a "home base" campground nearby whatever stadium our games are at. The truck is always packed with game day essentials for grilling & festivities outside whatever stadium. In our experience most "stadium campgrounds" only allow big MH's but the way we've been doing it for years works out well & we aren't locked into a site should we ever need to move on before those big rigs at the stadiums can clear out. Sometimes you have to be more mobile (Airstream TT) in order to get to the next city in time for the next exciting game!
Penn State = how bout those stuffed hot peppers? It wouldn't be a great tailgate if we didn't bring some along. I'll be ordering our tailgate supply soon.

My first trip in the Little Lucy was to an Auburn game weekend. We stayed off campus and tailgated the entire weekend. More flexible in and out and not so crowded in the parking pasture.
