The dates have been set, the party is being planned, the sites are being set up to be reserved. Keep your eyes here for more information as the season progresses and spend the last weekend in October with us before you winterize! Most of us winterize there before we leave sunday. So if you are new to winterizing, need some advice, or want to learn some tricks, we have some experts who are willing to help!
October 24- 28, 2012 at Findley State Park in Wellington, Ohio.

Got confirmation that Findley state park will be doing local sale for our group again this year! I have picked out 10 sites. So when you call the park to tell them you want to register for the venison chili cook off, tell them you are with the airstream group! Then be sure to sent me a PM with the length of your trailer! I will do the best i can to accommodate everyone and keep us all close together! The site numbers may get moved due to a muddy site, but that wont be determined till thursdays arrival. please rsvp on the calander page as well so i have an accurate count for goody bags! If you wish to purchase a rally tshirt, let me know before sept 28!

You will pay for your site when you arrive!
When you call to register for the cook off request to speak with carla or bridget and call the park directly. See the calendar for phone info

This is a nice little rally. Very informal and laid back. We have had lots of fun at Findley. There is a lake and kayaks are welcome if you are brave in the Fall weather. There are hiking trails and the roads there are good for biking too.

Call and register to be in the chili cook-off and they will give you 1#of venison for the chili. You have to use the venison and you can add any other ingredients that you would like. There are 3 categories (or at least there were last year)..stove top, crock pot/slow cooker and Dutch oven/open fire. Terry and Larry placed and won ribbons last year.

We will be awarding our own silver family trophy to those who enter from our group!
(Someone besides Larry needs to add their name to our airstream trophy!)

Every unit in attendance will receive a "swag bag as well" or some form of goody bag! There will be prizes for best decorated trailer (for Halloween of course), best carved pumpkin, and best chili as part of the Venison Chili Cook off run by the state park! (They provide 1 pound of venison so long as you pre-register)

If you would be interested in ordering a shirt for this rally, the order will be placed by Sept 28th to ensure we have enough time to receive them. Just send Airbiscuit a private message with T-shirt Size & quantity!

Venison Chili Cook Off - Oct. 27, 1p.m.

Calling all cooks! Participants must pre-register at the park for this event by October 15. Findley provides the venison to contestants on Friday of the event. Contestants must return their entries for judging by 1 p.m. on Saturday at the nature center. Regular camping fees apply. Call either 440-647-4490 or 440-647-5749 ext. 100 to register and ask for Carla or Bridget. Let them know you are with the Airstream Group and need to register for the chili cook off!

RESERVATION DETAILS:
Airbiscuit has reserved 10 sites so far. If you are interested in attending, you must PM or email her with your trailer length and what day you will be arriving, the sooner the better! She will assign you a site and upon your arrival you will pay when you check in! Easy Peasy!

Schedule of Events: (All events are optional!)

Thursday: Arrival & Dinner around the fire pit

Friday: Arrival
Beenies & Weenies on the fire beginning at 5:30pm

Saturday: 8am -9am Breakfast in the circle (pancakes, sausage gravy/biscuits, fresh fruit, feel free to add your own dish to this as the griddle will be hot and ready!)
1pm Chili Cook Off Judging at the Nature Center
5:30pm Chili & Potluck Dinner (location tba- either at the circle or the nature center depending on weather!)
6:30pm Raffle (same location as dinner) 7:30pm Fire

Sunday: 8-9am Breakfast (Cereal Buffet) Bring a cereal to share!
11am bring your sandwich and join us around the fire
12pm/1pm Winterizing & Packing Up
2pm Head Home
