2024 Quartzite

We are going to the Quartzite RV show for the first time. Is there an BLM area where we might meet up with fellow Airstreamers?

El Camino Real Airstream Club will be at Rice Ranch North for a no host rally from January 17 to January 21.

Wish I could go! This year, I'm leading my brother in his new-to-him SOB to Q for a couple of days, beginning on the 22nd. Alas, I think he has vastly overestimated what he'll be able to handle with a single lead-acid battery, so we're staying at one of the RV parks in Brenda, a few miles up Hwy 60 from Q. (I plan to encourage him to try to handle the situation without hooking up to electricity. I figure they'll last one night and get tired of it.)

Too bad. I'll be arriving in the area the very day after you guys depart. Oh, well.

Anyone going to be around the last week of January? Jo Ann and I are staying at Arizona Sun RV Park 24-31 January 2024. Although we don't have an Airstream, it isn't for lack of wanting one. We'll be glad to tell the whole story there. We plan to visit the RV Show, see how boondocking works, and generally get a feel for Q for a return visit when we will be able to boondock.

Go to the local Book Shop. He will give you directions. He also is known to peddle a bicycle around the area.

The area is massive. Stop at a BLM check in along the main road going south for any information. You will have no trouble finding the RV Show. Plan on hiking. Bring water. Some candy bars. You will need them.

This is sort of a Boondocking experience the rest of the year. During the RV Show and the Rock & Mineral Show... it is a traffic jam without the bread.
