Winter Rig Or Rent Rally-Meredith, N.H. March 3-5,2006

Since about half of the people who are interested in this event are on the Forum, it seemed like a good idea to start a thread. The rally is listed on the calendar and there is a page complete with links, details directions pictures at the W.M.N.H. Unit web site: http://www.wbcci1.org/whitemt/rig2.htm

Here's the scoop as of 1/31/06:

Bring your bathing suits for the pool & hot tub, skates for the ice and skis for the slopes. If you are planning to rent a cabin HURRY, there are only two more to rent! Cabins have heat, refridgerator, bath and kitchen complete with cooking utensils and dishes. Pillows & blankets are also provided. You must provide towels and sheetsor sleeping bags. There are limits in regards to the number of campers allowed in the cabins.

For campers who will be towing their rigs will have electric, sewer and cable. The water is turned off for the winter, but campers can fill their tanks at the main building.

Campground owners insist you make your own reservations for a site or cabin. Ask to be placed near the Geschwindners if you are getting a site.

If you plan to snowshoe and do not have your own, give us your height and approximate weight and we will supply them!

Most meals on your own, happy hour poolside, Pot Luck on Saturday night.

No Cabins Cabins Available

SORRY! The last of the available cabins for this event have been taken. There are still plenty of R.V. sites available. If anything opens up, it will be posted here.

Winter Rig or Rent

Don't worry about the snow. We are expecting 1-3" today, probably not enough for snowshoeing howere like they say in New Engalnd "Like the weather? Well, don;'t get use to it it will change. History is that we get a big one during this time each year.

Also the King Pine Ski Area makes snow so if we can't snowshoe we can snow tube and that sounds like a blast to me.

I'll race you for your Peanut, winner talkes all!

Winter Rig or Rent Update

Well you will be glad to hear we had a bit of snow about 6 inches here at Lake Sunapee. I'm also making chilli. Enough for 30 people so you may want to plan your potluck contributions accordingly. I will bring my breadmaker so we can have fresh bread too!

Dress warm the temp is 5 below!!!!!!

Don't forget if you need snowshoes let me know so I can contact Kathi to bring your size.

Hi Michelle,

Sure why not the breadmachine I have only makes a loaf and half. Left over homade bread makes great French toast for the next day!!!

Rice also sounds perfect to go with the chilli. Nancy is going to make salad, we have a really well coordinated meal! This airstream formum is pretty neat. It's the first time I've been on.

Right on for the Airstream Forums! And soon I'm sure we'll get you to park your Airstream in the rebel section at joint Region 1 Rallys.

Ok, bread machine it is. Leon will bake a pie too. We are looking forward to hooking up with our White Mountains and New England Unit friends this weekend!

FYI, for those of you who can't live through a weekend without internet access, the campground has free wireless internet access.
