I'm getting so excited about camping this weekend, rain or shine! It will be great fun with lots to do in the area. I'll bring some wood too.

Hmmm now that sounds yummy, even if you must tone it down

Minor Menu Correction
Folks,
Sorry but I published the wrong menu. No worries, the only substitution is for Saturday dinner.
Please remove the Port, Lamb, and Chicken and substiture with boiled ham. Also, please remove the brocolli normandy and replace with mushy peas.
Any questions?

Badges! We don't need no stink'n badges!
FYI:
The WBCCI New England Unit badge office will be open for business during the Wine & Dine Rally this weekend. As much as it surprises me I have been appointed as the offical provider of "stink'n badges" by the New England Unit, I'm shocked because I normally do not remember to wear my badge or even worse I pin it on upside down.
Anyway, if you need a replacement badge I can provide it to you this weekend for only $2.25 which is the cost of the badge to our Unit. If you are a new member of the New England Unit (and do not already have a badge from another WBCCI Unit) not only do we *love* you for joining our group but I can provide you with your "stink'n badge" which is part of your WBCCI membership fee so that you won't have folks asking you if you are WBCCI members, axe murderers or even worse the owners of a SOB just hoping to hang out with folks who own Airstreams.
See me at the sidewalk cafes!

Water Pressure
The grapevine is alive and well. Our hosts report that water pressure at the campground is high. You will need to bring your water pressure regulators.
See you tomorrow.

Will do.
Plus we will have a 14" Dutch Oven, wood for the fire, tacky lit flamingos, tacky flamingo lights for our awning, one giant fat cat named Buddy for the kids to pet and play with (he loves it), fixin's for a couple of pies and more CDs and DVDs than you can shake a stick at. I'm glad it's only an hour commute from our home as we will be one heavy truck and rig!
Really, really looking forward to this. It's funny, I *never* remember rain at any of our Rallies. I guess it's because of the tent and the good company.

Had a great weekend! The nasty rain didn't even come close to dampening spirits!

What a grand adventure!
Even though it rained cats and dogs for most of the weekend we had a fantastic time! Good tent (belongs to our Unit, the kind that folks use for weddings including sides), GREAT food, fun time touring Nashoba Winery and attending the wine tasting party. And most of all the cool folks who were in attendance, you guys rock!
Many thanks to Balgrn for the ear plugs! I was able to get a good nights sleep even with the rain battering our trailer.
Now to finish cleaning out the trailer so we can get her parked in the barn. We need to open our awning and let it dry and brush off all the pine needles. We also need to address our new leak from the A/C. Nothing like a little rain to highlight your problem areas.

Great Job
What a weekend!
Great job for first time rally hosts, the Duesel's and Reid's!
Food, campfires, wine tasting and visiting were all fantastic. We had a ball exploring the area at Kimball's Ice Cream, the Butterfly Museum, Nashoba Winery, et al. It was great to see all the old familiar faces as well as several new "first timer couples".
Yes, it rained, but that didn't dampen the spirits of all involved. Thank goodness for the tent and sides!
Kudos on a wonderful job.

Thankyou
Thank you for your warm welcome at Sunday's breakfast. We really enjoyed the tours and talking to people. When we first considered an Airstream, we were thinking primarily of making camping and travel more comfortable. Sunday's visit allowd us to experience firsthand the fun and extra benefit of being part of the NE WBCCI community. Looking forward to next season's events.

Rain, Rain, what a pain. But it won't stop us!
We had the best time. Thanks to all the old and new friends we spent time with. Here are some pix to share for those that couldn't make it. A really big thanks to our hosts for giving us such a special weekend, we wouldn't have missed it for anything.

sorry we missed it!
We went with a small contingent of SOBs to a campground in NH that is situated along a river. well, the river rose and rose...we wound up getting "evacuated". A bunch of people just plain left; others, ourselves included, just moved up to higher ground in the parking area near the entrance, and stuck it out. By morning, there was a couple of feet of H20 in our original campsite. And just like other recent higher profile floods, there was panic, followed by heavy traffic, confusion, and at least a couple of dumb-@sses living in some sort of bizarre denial that wouldn't move, thinking that they could ride it out, and wound up being pulled out by the fire department.
It was somewhat of an adventure....but you guys look like you had more fun.
Next time....
