The Virginia Commonwealt Rally will be held in Virginia Beach, Virginia this April 16-18. It will be in the TRAV-L-PARK which is a very large and well appointed campground with spacious sites. The theme is Cavaliers and Buccaneers, put on your best costume and come on down to the seashore and enjoy some good Southern Airstream Hospitality. Now that spring has pretty much established herself in Va, we'll start off our traveling in earnest.

Any body that might want to Courtesy Park in Richmond on the way to or from VA Beach??? We live very close to downtown have a corner lot with 150+ feet of parking in a quite neighborhood. Only 20 amp service until fall... Just pm me and we will talk.

Since this will be our first WBCCI event with the trailer (last year's we had only just gotten back from our shakedown trip) we are planning to take a whole week at the camp ground. We'll be in on the 10th and enjoy our first "long" stay in the trailer.

Our following trip will be to the Region 3 rally and another "long" stay. We should be getting pretty used to living in among LOTS of airstreams by the end of that week.

Rick,

Lisa & I still plan to make it. We now have tail lights that work, and all but 3 1/2 marker lights have been replaced. I pulled one wire right out of the harness, but think it'll pass with that. However, 1 has rusted screws and will be difficult to replace. Get those out of the way and get it inspected on Saturday! IF it passes then I think we'll be there. I'll know more by Sunday. It may not be purdy (yet), but it'll be on the road!

And.. saved the best for last.
Unit # 329, Ken , Region 3 President, who was the "star" of a PBS special that was filmed over the weekend at the rally.
Theme is about Airstream and retirement living`!!
It will be aired at point in the future.
I suggested to the producer to post a notice on this forum to "alert" the community to the showing..
Congrats are in order to Ken and, his lovely wife a job well done~!!
