Hope someone will put San Marcos or Marble Falls, or Lake Buchannan area on the "see about & consider" list for next year.
Wish I could have been there.

Our next vintage rally is in October, 2013. The Denver folks will have a rally on the even years and we will have the odd years. October may be the permanent month. It is hard to find a date that does not conflict with other major rallies like Region 9, Chili Cook-Off, etc.
The site for 2013 is the responsibility of the rally chairman for 2013, Fred Hazen. Fred should have the site tied down by July 1 of this year. It is hard to find parks that can take 75 to 100 rigs and have a rally room, places for seminars, and a reasonable cost. Several great sites are out of our cost range.

Our first rally ever as fairly new owners and new members of the Texas Highland Lakes Unit. Truly wonderful experience. No idea why we bought the lawn chairs. So much to do we had no time to sit in them!! Here are a few pics, many more on the WBCCI Highland Lakes Unit FB page.

If I had know we could tour other vechicles, we could driven up friday afternoon and start driving back Sunday a.m.! Plus it has been an expensive last two months. It will only get more as work on Sylvia gets underway!
Tom Kaminski has Sylvia and is getting quotes on axles being shipped, and checking the wiring, the floor in bathroom, and getting us estimates on everything we don't want to do. We really wanted to hear the wood working/cabinetry for a/s but as I said; the timing was not in the cards!
Hope someone took lots pictures on the open homes-let me know if someone has some! Need ideas of what to do and what not to do!

You know, I just looked it up; Glen Rose was only 3 hours! Also, I meant, trailers/rigs not vehicles which I spelled wrong....

Sure wish I had taken some inside shots during open house. Unbelievable what some folks have done. Here are a couple more I took and one taken by our good friend Marque titled "Dreamin of Streamin". See if you can figure out which one that is...

From now on, we will be doing the Vintage Rally only on odd years and the Denver Unit will do it on even years. Our next rally will be in October, 2013.

I recognize that Pyr pic. Is it from this forum or TGPR forum, the latter is where I thought I saw this profile pic. We are in CS, our unit is getting revamped by TK RV's in Austin area, we have two pyrs. Used to foster, but when all dogs had to go to adoption day in Houston, not locally, we had to decline. Too much in gas.
