We won't laugh. I talked to the Idaho unit and they are planning a little caravan to the rally, I'll have them get a hold of you.

Someone mentioned at a TCT event this past weekend that the Baker City organizers are hoping the trailer owners will dress in period dress to the age of their trailer.

That could be a problem for us - it is hard to find diapers that large, and I don't think anyone would want to come around and meet us if we are both standing out there in them

So what is the actual request, is the request correct? At least Wally wasn't setting the dress code yet so I could go as a farmer in jeans and shirt (gosh, my everyday attire) but Donna would have to wear one of those goofy polka dot dresses like Donna Reed used to wear on her TV show. If I suggest that I might just end up about as alive as Donna Read now is, if you get my drift.

Are there any other things we should know in advance of arrival? And what is the earliest we can arrive for the dry camping?

Thanks,

Hey, Monah! Met you @ the PS Modernism Show...great awning! We're looking forward to seeing you and meeting our neighbors in Oregon at the end of the month! Right now we're at the 4th Annual Vintage Restoration Rally in Albuquerque. This is a great, hands-on and classroom seminar, conference weekend. Pee Wee is on this evening along with Uwe Salwender (fab restorer from SoCal!). There are a few vids online if you search the threads. See you all soon!

We will be bringing the quesadilla fixings along with who knows what else! You are on for the fish and chips at Barley Browns. Some of that good ol' Texas BBQ brisket would be good.

Depending on routes and timing, it may be possible to link-up for the journey west.

Barry, During Open House I thought it would be fun to dress in the year of your trailer. For you and Donna it would be 1951, Poodle skirt for Donna and the James Dean look for you. I'm getting the Rally Newsletter together with all the details of the Rally. Teresa

Thanks Teresa. Hooo Boy, Donna in a skirt? A poodle skirt to boot? I think rather than me telling her I'll let her read the email - that way I can hide out in the shop, or even better, down the block while she is reading it.

We might get the old cat dressed in a poodle skirt before we get Donna in to one . At least I'd lose less skin and have fewer bites and bruises.

James Dean for me, eh (that's Canadian for huh, we typically have to use at least one eh in every correspondence or conversation). That will be easy, I just need to go find hair, lose 150lbs, get a triple X sized t-shirt and I'm all set. Now Howard has a great idea - my caboy hat from Dead Horse. It's a realy 1951 kind of cowboy hat. King-O-D-Road bought it for me and it is a hoot.

This should be fun. Thanks for organizing all of this.

Now to go figure out how I can get Donna to consider wearing a poodle skirt. What will be even better is seeing what Bonnie and Roger (King-O-D-Road) have to wear for 1965. Oh, wait, they are still wearing the same kinds of stuff they did in 1965.

Howard - that poodle will be very confused by the time this is all over with. You have quite a haul ahead of you. For us it is about 8 or so hours I think, maybe closer to 10.

Fish and chips sounds good.

We are really excited about this gathering. It is not very often that we get to celebrate a 100th birthday. So one wonders who will be blowing the candles on the cake out......

I have the hat ready to go. It is staying in the trailer for camp outs. It lets people know that we are serious campers when I come out of the trailer with that hat on.

I read where cowboys of old used their hats to water their horse - I can water the whole herd.

Life is good.

Teresa,

I went out hunting for poodles today. Myself and the old cat. I figure he'd be a pro at hunting one and getting its skirt off. So far the only ones we've encountered have had slacks, or shorts, or capris and peddle pushers, but nary a sign of a skirt. And I'm positive the nylons won't fit Donna no matter what. But I'll keep on looking

Just a note. All campsites are full, but I just got over flow parking across the street from the Museum in the Amory parking lot and the Truck Corral truck stop at the freeway has water & electric sites for $10.00 a night and they are also giving rally attendee's $.10 gallon savings. So if you still want to come we have room. Over 60 trailers & Motor homes are attending, Thankyou everyone, this rally has been on my to do list for the last 3 years and now I'm at the panic point with it being just 2 weeks away.See you in Baker City
