Hopefully the storms will pass and they won't be a daily occurrence...also hope the VAC tent gets put back up!

We'll be arriving Friday too...see you then!

need anything??

I live in Gillette, and if you need anything, I would be glad to help. (even if we need to drive to South Dakota to look for your trashcan!) Hopefully we are through the majority of storms.

The reason I am posting is that I bought a 74 tradewind that had 3 original, I assume, folding wood airstream chairs. I don't have any use for them, but I dont want to throw them away. I would be glad to bring them by the Camplex if you or anyone you know would be interested, the price is right (FREE). Unless you tell me that they are worth thousands!

That's nice of you to offer Cassidy! They're not worth thousands, but for someone looking for them they would be golden and much appreciated. I would say if you come join us at the "hopefully re-erected vintage tent" some afternoon around happy hour, you will get to meet a bunch of cool folks and surely someone will that the chairs (I assume they are Leg-O-Matics) off you hands. If no takers arise, I'll take them to the flea market that is scheduled for the 4th of July. Hope to have you stop by during the open house Sunday afternoon too!

I will stop by! Thanks for the invitation. I will be at some sort of meet and greet at 10 Friday morning. I have a friend in Rotary and he got me on the list.
I also have three brown bins from under the gaucho in my 74, are they worth bringing out there, or do those things last forever so no one needs a new one?
Is there any way I can look at the hardware on the 75 tradewind door? I can't tell the proper set up for the screen door on mine so I kind of have it rigged. (incorrectly I am sure)

Hey, if you're in the vintage area, and you see a 60s rig with a rebuildable Armstrong AC, let them know that I've got a brand-new, unused electric motor for it. I bought the motor (AO Smith), but then discovered that the compressor was also bad on ours, so never used it.

Yep, I'm sure someone will take those too!

Most vintage folks are arriving Friday & Saturday - if Richard can't show you what you want on his '75, I'm sure if you come back later in the week a 74 TradeWind or other similar model will be there for you to check out.

On the Road to Gillette, also but!!!

My wife, Judy, and I left Monday out of Seattle, WA and ended in Spokane, WA (xtreme Eastern WA) There we camped at a KOA to prepare for our next leg of the journey BUT when we got ready to pull out we locked the door and the door lock (brand new one from AS and made in China) broke! So we are delayed until I add to the door a safety lock. We won't be in Gillette unitl the week end IF there are no other mishaps! I did not think we could have so much "fun" in our blue '78 Argosy "flying cloud" smile jjustice

OK, Richard, where did you hide the trees? What do dogs do there when they are in need? It must be pretty traumatic for them.

Great shots. The sky is beautiful.

Very few trees here, but plenty of dogs. Ours are back in Phoenix, so is Jan. She will be returning in a few days...

Yesterday was open house day and what a crowd we had. I had people in and out of my trailer non stop all afternoon. Last night was block party night and everyone in our area (vintage) enjoyed a great pot luck.

Richard do you have a picture of the board with the various state attendence? Any blogging of International events available online that you know of? I have enjoyed your Airstream pictures and hope to see more in the future, especially of participants.
