By golly, those pics look just like ... Kansas! Just steer clear of Dorothy's place. Word is that they have tornados that sweep you clear to someplace called Oz.

Last night with all the wind we had I wished that I had never seen the movie "Twister".

It has been a couple of days since we saw a Starbucks, maybe Wichita...

Your route will take you within fifty or sixty miles of Greensburg, Kansas (home of the Big Well and more recently the devastating tornado) if you are following US 160 - - if you happen to follow US 54, you will pass right through Greensburg.

Hi Charlie.
Same truck, bought a cap. It's an A.R.E that I bought last month.

Eureka! Kansas that is. A cute little town east of Wichita. Stopped early and went for a bike ride in the old town. Picked up some eats at the market. Getting ready for dinner.

Found a small RV park just off of the main drag. $10 for full hookups with Passport America, great deal. Jan has fallen in love with a couple of puppies from around here...

It's a Hudson, possibly a 41.

It is a Hudson, but not a 41.

I know the suspense is just killing you, so I will put you out of your misery.

It is a 1947 Hudson Commodore Eight. Originally built with an "L" head straight 8 engine. .

Thanks for the info Jim. The park owner has a nice collection of vintage cars and trailers. Enchanted Trails is a great place to visit.

Had another night of T-Storms last night in Eureka. Headed for MO today.

We are just south of Lebanon, MO this morning. Spent the night at a campground that was a KOA at one time. Lots of road noise off of 44, but a nice park.

This has become a trip of Walmart stops as we acquire all the things that we forgot to pack. Yesterday I went to shave and found the blades and shaving cream, but no razor.

Went out to dinner in town, found a nice Chinese buffet. Today we make it to Farmington and WC. Then on to Du Quoin...

Richard, I don't know if you heard this, but there may be a small problem with Du Quoin...
Overnight storms flip campers at fairgrounds - KFVS12 News & Weather Cape Girardeau, Carbondale, Poplar Bluff

Also, you stayed at the same campground we did in ABQ. We were in the last row, near the Camping World.

Ugh! I hope this storm clears out of the area before the rally starts.

You're welcome. I got the link to the story from Dave Schuman. It sure gives one pause to see how close the Airstreams there nearly got flattened, along with the people in them.

I just headed north after spending a week in So. Ill. We experienced the winds and the storms. I had the back of my airstream facing the wind. I lost my Air conditioner cover. It was one wicked storm.
