We had another enjoyable weekend with the North Cascades and the British Columbia units. We ventured off on Thursday over the mountains to Mt. Vernon, WA to the annual
tulip festival that last most of the month of April.
Jim and I hiked around at Deception Pass, enjoyed great food and games with the gang as well. Last night was the Kiwanis Salmon BBQ. Man that was a great meal. Today we left after a morning "scramble" with the club.
The club seems to be almost unanimous on not changing the name to AIOI, but because there were not a great deal of members there they decided to do a mail ballot. It is still early in the season for some campers so the threat of rain kept some at home.
People enjoyed the buttons from SaveWally.org (thanks again) and I'm sure you will see a few sporting them at International.
I am enclosing a few pictures of the weekend. I hope to have more posted on our unit web site by the end of the week.
