By the way, we have a NESCO roaster oven that we bought at Sam's a few years ago and hardly ever used, so we'd like to donate it to the group. We'll bring it with us to Salisbury. Maybe we can use that for something.
Tell me about the potato thing. Do we bring our own potatoes and toppings or how does this work?
The electric hook-ups at Salisbury last year were all 20 AMPS and severely over used but Bob and I took a trip to the campground in December and saw that they are putting all new 30 and 50 AMP services to the sites. This should help especially if we need to use our AIR CONDITIONERS in APRIL.
Sorry bobandcarla, I missed seeing this post! Roaster Oven for the Unit will be fantastic! We are getting to have a really decent mobile kitchen now...

Baked Potatos will be provided by your host (Hey, that's me!). Attendees bring toppings to share. We'll set it up buffet style under our unit tent. We plan to have a salad to go along with the spuds. Topping ideas: Chili, cheese, chives, butter, bacon, beef stew, hot sauce (that's for me), etc. When it gets closer to our rally date I'll be asking folks to tell me what they plan to bring so that we don't end up with say, only bacon.

Hi Elaine L.

We'll send you an email. I'm sure Leon will ask the same questions Chuck has posted about the unit trailer. I never think of such things....

You can count me in for bringing "ham"...specifically "boiled ham"...perhaps even ... but only if my friend over59 is coming because he enjoys it sooooo much.

Yummy! Boiled ham with soggy peas on top of spuds. Sounds delightful.

Just made a reservation on reserveamerica for another place and time. Checked my reservations and no Salisbury Beach reservation. I'll call tomorrow. They were having system issues, I sure hope they didn't screw it up.

I saw a really neat show on the Food Network. They made baked potato sandwiches. They used bbq pork or flanksteak, sliced the potato with the filling and there you go. I am trying to think of something really unique. Too bad Yukionna already claimed the spam. I am with Balgrn on the fried spam with mustard. Love it.

I'm bummered that we'll miss this rally, especially with all the Spam talk. Doesn't everbody love Spam?! Maybe we should try to work Spam into the Tin Chef competition at the Alumination Celebration.

I'm feeling like a "back-slider" since I can't figure out how to cough up the kitty fee??? Where are the mysterious "coupons?" Likewise, with all of this food talk, I need to get Wanda up to speed on her Hispanic dishes while I concentrate on the "correct" box wine!

After our one-year absence from the group y'all are making me downright nervous - but we're sure lookin' forward to it!

BTW, this rally is also open to non-WBCCI member Airstream owners. It's part of our "Try before you buy" program.

Interesting picture~

Hi ~
I just went to Google's Earth and, for grins, went looking for the Salisbury State Park..The view I got should be of interest to those going to the rally in April.
Let me see if I can post a view that was neat. (bear with me..lol)
You could download the program from Google and, really fine tune your own view of the entire area of the campingground site..Very neat~!!

Nice pics! I especially like the top photo of the waterways next to the park as it will give the kayaking crew a hint of what a maze it is to navigate through that area.

Welcome back to the group! You & Wanda will really be surprised when you folks join us all! This group has grown in size over the past year, I see at least 7 new members coming to this rally that you haven't met yet.

Talking Friday Night Soup Poll

GREAT Idea! Titu & Gail asked me to add a Poll to this thread. If you are attending the Spring into Camping Rally please scroll up to the first post and complete the Friday Night Soup Poll.

This will help Gail and I figure out what to make and how much.
