Woohoo! What a weekend blast of a rally! Welcome again to all the new members! Even though the campground was full of hitches, the event went off without a hitch (pun intended), thanks to our first time rally hosts, Michelle/Leon and Gail/Titu.
Some of us extended the weekend until 6 PM last night by spending the afternoon together at the beach with a picnic lunch, beach hike, rocket launching and with backing-up and maneuvering trailer seminars. It was rewarding to teach other women how to handle driving and backing up their trailer. Now all that is needed is practice, practice, practice! Great job ladies!

Mark and I (and of course Jack and Tipper) want to thank everyone for such a wonderful time. It was so great to meet such nice, warm, fun, interesting, engaging people. I think we were both blown away by how helpful our "welcoming committee" was. We both spoke about how nice and relaxed our arrival and first set-up ended up being......and how we both learned so much about setting up, because of the experienced help. It was worth everything to us.
We had so much fun during the open house. LOVED the pot luck. Everything was so yummy. Doug, your entertainment really made the campfire great. The weekend was the best! On the way home, we would periodically look at one another and say "That was so much fun". So Thanks to all of you!
Now, can't wait for the next rally! I hope I get to join you all in watching from afar while the next newbie gets shocked Oh, yeah, sure.....I know it's an initiation. Just glad I passed. How many volts does the next person get?
I'm going to try to post some pictures tonight. Jack had the camera at one point on Sunday morning and took a picture of EVERY dog in attendance, so look for your favorite pooch in that batch of photos.....and not to be ignored, I'll post the pic of Buddy that I took during Leon and Michelle's open house. Don't want to make that cat feel left out! He's bigger than my DOG.
We're on for Alumination in August, and hoping to make the trip to NH over Memorial Day weekend. I just have to see about work (it's graduation on Sunday and I will have to see if I can skip hanging out with HM King Abdullah II)
Hope everyone is well.
Group hug!
Lizzie

Lizzie -- it was great to meet you guys! I followed the link you sent out for the slideshow but the pictures were of something else. They involved different people (i.e., not you or Jack or Mark) and looked like they were taken in Europe. You might want to double-check your link. I stopped looking after about the 10th photo out of 113.

Yes! I deleted it shortly after I noticed you needed a password to view it. Wonder who's vacation you were looking at??
I'll figure it out -- hang on!

Actually, you don't need a password to view it but you do need to set up an account. Note, I just used a bogus name and bogus email address and was able to get right into the picture part.
