Let's go to Luckenbach!

Let's go to Luckenbach, Texas,
With Wally and HOTC and the gang...!

Please join us for the 37th Annual "Hug-In" on February 10th thru the 12th in Luckenbach, Texas! We will have the 14 acre parking lot to accommodate our group! This will be a Boondocking event. Price is $35.00 per person to include camping fee for Friday and Saturday nights, (and Sunday night if you need an extra night), and tickets to the Gary P. Nunn show on Saturday night in the Dance Hall. This is a big weekend for Luckenbach and we are so excited to be a part of it. There will be other visitors, campers, vendors and guitar pickers/musicians to explore and visit within another area they open specially for this event.

A few more details:

Friday - Arrive and someone will be there to help you park. Happy Hour will be from 5:00 - 7:00. Please bring your choice of drink and an Hor D'oeuvre to the TBD group area. Dinner will be on your own. Enjoy the evening with friends and Luckenbach Hug-In offerings.

Saturday - All meals on your own. Happy Hour same time and place. Gary Nunn's show starts at 9:00pm and doors open for seating at 8:00pm.

Sunday - Meals on your own. Continue enjoying the offerings.

Gray-water will be allowed for release.

Be sure to arrive with full tank of water. Generators will be allowed. Campfire is subject to Burn-ban conditions. Firewood is a possibility. If you have a propane fire-ring, please bring along.

Alcohol Policy - no alcohol brought in thru the gate at any time. We may have alcohol at our campsites. Restaurant and Dance Hall alcohol may be purchased...no BYOB!

If you have a an "Easy - Up" canopy, please bring.

Please go to Home to purchase event/camping tickets. We are told they can accomadate up to 100 trailers!
Everyone will receive a wristband upon paid arrival. I was just informed that the website for your ticket purchase will be up and running by Monday 1-9-12.

I want to thank Henry and Sharry Kahanek for the suggestion! We think this is going to be a really unique campout and possibly a HOTC tradition to come for Valentine's Day.

Update on reserving your spot

From the Pres

All,
Here is the direct link to reserve your event ticket. Be sure to buy the event ticket, not the show ticket. The tickets are a per person basis.

Will the RV Parking also have other non-Airstream groups there? A friend who does not have an Airstream is interested in going and hopefully he can get in with his motorhome.

It's not too late!

If y'all are looking for a good time camping in a historic Texas town, then this little shindig is for you. There is still room and we'd love to have you join us!

Howdy folks! I just want you to know that whoever makes it out this weekend is guaranteed a fantastic time. Luckenbach is like my second home, and I make it out there regularly in my 22 ft Argosy. I like to play fiddle in the pickers circles, and have so much fun doing it there. Its the easiest place to relax and it always feels like family. Gary P Nunn is also a great dance band, so make sure you all bring your boots. This is truly one of my favorite places to hang out in TX! I'll be the Argosy up on top of the hill, come say hi!

There's hot showers .25 miles down the road at the Armadillo Farm campground for $5, and the KOA north up the road will let you use their dump facilities for $10 I think. And for one of the voted best burgers in TX, take a great 15 minute drive SE to the Alamo Springs Cafe.

I wish we were coming down, but we have to be in DFW this weekend. Hopefully Laura doesn't beat someone down if the Sequoia stalls on the way.

Hopefully you'll end up in Johnson City for Easter! Enjoy that ambiance of Willy, Waylon and the Boys (there's plenty of ambiance left there even if they're not there for the weekend!)

C'mon campers. I know Luckenbach has wifi. How is the weekend going? Too cold to sit outside and post updates?

Seriously, my wife and I were planning on heading out there Sunday, but with with a winter weather advisory in effect we're going to wimp out and stay home. Everyone give Stan in security a big hug from Darron and Sue.
