I could do that, but what kind of stuff do you want to hear about?

In all seriousness, I would like to see pictures of "real life" at the rally - parking, meals, meeting areas, activities.
A description of both the good and bad - activities, side trips, rain, mud, electricity problems, cold, hot, etc.....
How about an honest evaluation of some of the seminars - scale of 1 to 10, or rate on the people the seminar would be most beneficial to -- male, female, over 50 -- 60 -- , experience level of campers -- fulltimers, beginners, weekenders -- , application seminars (mechanicals, repairs, maintenance, etc.) are always difficult to predetermine if it would be worth dedicating time to -- you never know what level of expertise the lecturer is gearing the presentation to.

My first and only Rally Report
When we officially get there next weekend I won't have any way to access the internet, but I was in Lansing today (minus the Airstream) visiting my dad for Father's Day and took a drive past the grounds of the WBCCI International Rally. Getting to the site is a pretty easy drive off the nearest expressway and the signs are already in place to direct you. I was really surprised to see several clusters of trailers (and a few motorhomes) scattered around. Each cluster had dozens to perhaps a hundred Airstreams! One of the clusters had a row of mostly newer motorhomes (but included a 34' trailer with WBCCI # 106) with the flags-a-flyin'. That had to be "Officers Row"!
In total I'd guess there are already several hundred Airstreams already present, with lines laid out to show where to park even more when the masses arrive starting this Thursday. I'm sure by the end of next weekend it will a single huge sea of Aistreams. All in all, it is also very impressive to someone who has never been at a WBCCI Rally of any type before. I wish I had thought to take my camera along, but I didn't, so this verbal report will have to do.

item of interest
in a discussion this am with Jackson center. a little piece of info about open parking at Lansing, the parking lot has turned int a big mud hole and some of the units are being damaged during recovery operations, they pulled the tongue off one unit. i didn't get any specifics , don't sound like fun. they have received a lot of rain and everything has got soggy. hadn't planned to use the open parking , just hope my campground spot isn't soft.
