We'd be glad to have you join us as a member. Stay tuned.

Currently I am not a member of anything. Let me know what steps to take to help the FCU. A la John Tesh: "Show a loose lug nut like me how to go on and help turn that wheel." (Nah he didn't say it. I just thought is cheesy enough to be credited to him.)

Richard, if the night sky is this good I will bring along at least one big telescope. I've got a Celestron CG-11 and a 13.5inch Dobsonian reflector. Probably bring one or the other because they take up a bit of space. Anyone else have telescopes and/or interest in astronomy?
Will have to send in some $$ for Saturday and Sunday nights tomorrow.....

I have a cheapo 4" which I will not have any room to bring with me. If you would like to bring one of yours I am sure the group would enjoy some views. The lack of city lights and the cool air should make viewing a real treat.

I will bring both telescopes and will borrow one or two pairs of binoculars used for nighttime astronomical viewing from the Astronomy teacher at our high school. Should be plenty of glass out to give most everyone plenty of viewing time.
Also, I just talked to another Airstream and telescope owner friend of mine who seemed genuinely interested in heading out to this rally. He has spent lots of time in and around the Sedona area so this would mean another telescope (8inch with GPS searching capabilities) to look through.
Our $$ is in the mail Saturday morning.....
Might decide to stay over Monday night, too.

Too bad you will not be in Flagstaff, you could have coasted down the hill to Cottonwood. If you are thinking about becoming a charter member of the 4CU, send a PM to Airstream25 (Jerry). He is the membership chairman for the unit. He can add you to the list of "members". After the charter issue is settled you will then have the oppertunity to join the WBCCI as a 4CU member.

Please forgive my lack of knowledge as we are new to this. So far we have only been to places with full hookups. I understand filling up with water and the dump site but what do you do for electricity or do you need a generator?
Sorry for my ignoranceon these matters

The battery(s) on the trailer should be able to run for several days. The only item that uses alot of power is the blower in the heater. If you don't have a Cat heater can run your battery(s) low. I have a small (EU1000) generator that can charge things back up in a few hours. I will be loaning it out if anyone needs a charge. I am sure others will have generators as well.

Thanks for the information. We are at our home in Illinois but expect to be at our other home north of Phoenix ( where the AS is stored) some time around the rally. We are going to check our calendars to see if we can attend and we will register as soon as possible.

Reminder
We currently have 24 people signed up for the rally here on the forums. I have a few people what have signed up that are not listed as well. I have some great gifts on the way that will we given out at the rally.
One idea I had was a prize for longest distance traveled, another for oldest trailer (I like vintage) and a third for "Best of Show" which will be voted on at the rally! I need to have one more catagory since I am getting four gifts from a very generous donor. Any ideas?
If you are going to attend the rally you need to do a couple of things if you have not done so yet. - Add your name to the Rally list at the Rally Calendar
- Print and fill out the registration form at the FCU site
- Send the form and $30 to me. The information you need is on the form.
Any questions / ideas?

Boy, I hope you folks make lots of pics at the rally! After I finish drooling on them, we'll stick them onto the website for all to see!

How about most unique innovation? Whether it be interior, exterior, electrical, hooking up, etc. Everyone has the same opportunity for this category.

Please, please - leave that one at home. All the dogs in attendance when I heard it last time were howling.

Wrong it may be but I kinda like it. Goes nice with the talking trout and talking deer head....Come on man, you know you like the singing trout. I'd bet you gave one to every one of your fishing buddies when it first came out a few years back..
