What a Great Time!
Very special thanks to our Hosts, Jan and Richard, co-hosts, associate hosts, wannabe hosts, hostlike folks and such.
Great rigs, learned a lot on our first A/S Rally!
Most of all, surrounded by smiles, and meeting new friends.

Home safe late Monday night after docking in the Prescott NF for a night, saw Kevbo in Quartzite as they streamed by, and we're looking forward to the next run.
Really loved the theme of the 4CU, camping and fun...where do we join?
Ya'll Stream Safe!

Richard was there an airstream motorhome in one of your pics? that was partially shown? Enquiring minds want to know if some of our brethran made it there. And no prize for the best motorhome? (post 591)

By the way, I'm lodging a formal 4CU protest. A member called me a Zeptagenarian just because I mislabeled her 1961 Bambi a "II". This is a deep wound. Probably unrecoverable. Just wait until the Lizard Head rally...short sheets and rocks in hubcaps just to start.

Be careful, I am very close to home while at Lizard Head. All manner of things could occur for retro-retribution.

Although I don't have multiple photos to share, just wanted to let you all know what a great time i had. So much food, so little time.

Still Recuperating

I thought great! I'll have time to run down to Phoenix, never having been there. So I stayed over Sunday night. Richard kindly let me pigtail onto his electric for the night. (via SilverToy and his massive trailer.) Shoot what a great photo that would have made. His 34' and my 16'! So to get on with the story...

Left for Phoenix around 10 a.m. Kind of a drizzly day and cool. Not at all what I expected. Give me some hot, hot sunshine for crying out loud! Anyway for this (now) country gal shopping has become an event. As in I don't have anything but walmart where I live. Every store known to man. I almost brought all of Cost Plus World Market home with me.

Left Phoenix around 5:30 p.m. Arrived 15 shy of Flagstaff at 1:30 a.m. that morning. Yes you read it right. I got caught in the ice storm. 8 hours to go less than 120 miles. About the time I was ready to pass out I found an unoccupied off ramp. Get out of my way truckers!

Luckily I had "The Peep" to help me drive. But he gets a bit kamikazi so one must be careful.

Richard, Jan, Kevbo!

Great Rally!

Kevbo, thanks for the fancy cowboy bar. Worth another visit someday for sure. And for the electric cable. Now I have one for my Bambi!

Thank the stars Peep was with me to help drive. (oh wait you don't like these little smiley guys) too bad!

Great times at the 4CU Rally

Hi All----With the camp fire finally out of wood, the last three campers (Don & Gail, Mike & Tracy in the great 1989 345 LE MH and ourselves pulled out Tues AM and drove home on dry roads I 17 and I 10. Thanks to Richard & Jan for a great job of hosting and to all the campers (approx 22 units) who came to mix, mingle and start new friendships. The M ball was a stroke of genius. We had a really great time. Thanks---Bob & Diana

post pictures to the shared website

Jerry,
Could you post directions on how we can post pictures to the shared website you setup?
---

Richard,
Sure, I have been using Sharpcast.com which seems to be one of the better photo sharing web sites. Oh, did I mention that it is free?

Some people have posted their pictures in the Four Corners Unit Rally thread. That is OK but after awhile they get buried. An alternative is to post them on Sharpcast or similar web site.

If anyone wants to see the pictures there, send your e-mail address and I will add you to the list of shared users.

My pictures are at;
Sharpcast - Image View

In addition to my pictures, Richard has started a page at;
Sharpcast - Image View

Also, Michael Ruppel has a lot of pictures at;
Sharpcast - Image View

Your photos are safe, no one else can delete them but they are able to add comments to individual photos.
People wanting to post their own pictures on their own page can sign up for the free software at;
Sharpcast » Downloads

Yes! But remember, polishing rallies have to be about a week long or you wouldn't see any progress (unless we got Mr Bond to help). Who's going to volunteer to bring the new Dexter axle and demo how to put it on my Overlander?

Richard and Jan, great rally. Sorry we didn't email last night but Gail and I got home about 5 PM. We highly recommend the Verde Valley Railroad and Tuzigoot to future rally goers at Dead Horse Ranch. Temperatures cooled quickly on Mondaywith the rain in the afternoon while we visited Jerome. Made the mistake of leaving the furnace on while we were gone. Battery was at 12.3 volts when we returned but no problems through the night. Bob and Diane stopped in to visit through early evening. Tuesday morning brought cloudy skies but no rain. We decided to drive up the hill to Jerome and head home through Prescott; beautiful scenery with the 3 or 4 inches of fresh snow above 5000 feet. The Peep saw us through roads that were wet to drying but no ice. By Yarnell the temperatures were rising above 60 with clear skies. We are looking forward to the October Balloon Fest and will check out a couple of Mojave Desert group sites in eastern CA for future rally alternatives.
