I haven't the energy to keep up! All I know is get me the heck out of here and over to ... Dodge??? Okay fine Cottonwood. Started raining as I was trying to bring myself up to date on the postings. Mr. Kevbo? may I have an infusion of your energy when I get to camp. I'll be the one with the IV all ready....

So anyway now it is snowing, again, and has dropped about 6" in less than an hour. And I still have to dig "Gypsy" out of the garage!

so the FCU has left a medium sized box to be opened together, but not together, during the mutual happy hour of the "Convention", being held in support of the FCU in Dead Horse, at the sister rally in Malibu, California...

the SUPPORT rally...

as we speak, there trying to discerne the contents of said medium box...

contents and true meaning to be revealed during happy hour, next saturday... at both our convention and there support rally. really.

time to be officially announced in about 4 hours...

AG,
It looks like you will have wet weather untill Thursday, then it will warm up to around 40. Sounds like a good time to get out of town. The good news is, expect tempertures in the 60's in Cottonwood all weekend! Just be carefull on the drive down.

I was thinking about coming down Alt 89 from Flagstaff to Sedona. Looks like there is one area of sharp curves and steep descent.
Anyone done this with their Airstream? Comments?

I have not done it with the trailer. The desent into Oak Creek is steep and has numerous tight turns. The views were great, they had a fire last year and I have not been back since. If the weater is wet or white, forget it! This route will take additional time, if that is a factor.

i took that route last year, and i was pulling my 25 footer. i had no problems, i did however pay strict attention to the suggested speed for the corners (i know, i barely made it w/ my attention span being so short), and used the pull out for the folks behind me.

i'm hosting (in conjuntion with the malibu rally) a little world wide virtual reality convention between dead horse and the FCU support group in malibu, california, during our mutual rallies. broadcast world wide, for whomever...

believed to be the worlds first ever virtual airstream rally n convention... (rule 39, if the greeter thinks it, it must be true)

I traveled that road a number of years ago. It is well worth the drive. Slow and easy and beautiful. It was in May so whos know what is like in the winter.

asflycaster, thanks for the weather update. Maybe I should bring my bathing suit. 60º is beach weather compared to what I have had here in Central Four Corners.

Hello all -

Still going through the family machinations. My kids don't want to go if there are no other kids going (BAD karma from unit69 rally) - so is anyone else planning to bring kids???

Mine are 11, 8 and 5. I think I remember one other kid planning on attending from earlier, but don't recall the age if said kid.

Please let me know soonest.

Well, almost ready to go to the FCU rally. Have a question, Mr. R and I want to leave on Thursday (it's me, really) and we will get there Thursday as well, will we be able to park in the FCU area. We will pay for the additional day, of course. Want to get the hell out of here, and go fish-T

Not a problem. When you get to the ranger station tell them you are with the four corners unit and just pay $12 for the additional day. Jan and I should be on site around noon. BTW, I did not fish last weekend, but the reports were good from members of my fly fishing club. The best fish I heard about was a 14" rainbow. You can float tube in the lower lagoon, but no wadeing.
