Pot 'n Luck...

i realize were not supposed to talk about the pot luck because richard said not to, like because then you would'nt have any luck in your pot.

but i was'nt raised like that.

i'm going to do Horse Douvers. nice ones. everyone likes em.

i like to get in and get out, while the indians are still docile, so to speak.

i once saw a fella get forked at a pot luck.

ugly sceen.

then somehow it turned into a workman's comp claim.

then we all got a free lunch.

so i guess it was'nt all bad.

Kevbo,
on further consideration, yer privileges, revoked, aren't, anymore, for now...
As for the problem of the suspect saloon, would it help if I-nope-we showed up earlier and I hid some beer in the desert under a picture of a horse with a copy of a Bar D Wranglers CD? I might have to hide it after your air deployment, so you may have to close yer eyes while I do it...pay no attantion to the PSSHHH! sounds...
hoping I can fall back in yer good graces and get in the front gate...m of m&t

mr. and ms. irony,

every thing you speak has my direct attention, while short in duration, it's intense. "V", saloon, beer, wranglers, and music. i think the only base you missed was the "F" word, food, becuase we all know richard does'nt like it, so we won't talk about it... don't ask, don't tell, kinda thing...

It's Official!

Here is the list of folks attending the event. I know a few more that really wanted to attend, but things like jobs and family got in the way. We wish you could have made it, we will rally with them down the road. This is just the first 4CU event, we have plenty more planned. “It’s all about camping!”

Kevbo10,
I contacted the ranger at Dead Horse and he is interested in the changes that you suggested to the Ramada area. This is the design he came up with based upon your suggestions. He will make every attempt to get this project funded next year. This year we will have the standard table and chair setup. BTW the head ranger is also an Airstream owner. He has a vintage Bambi parked next to his residence at the park.

Congrats to you folks for getting such a great turnout, the first time out!! . For those of you that haven't follow'ed the other thread; there are 8 of us who will be in Malibu that same weekend to toast your success. In fact, a few of us will be joining you for the Balloon Fest. Have fun at the first 4CU Rally. You guys made it happen!! Great job!

Thanks Ron! It looks like all 4CU events will have the M-Ball! A tradition that some evil person in California started and now it is spreading across the SouthWest. Jan & I look forward to seeing you and Debbie and your low rider dogs in October.

wow, a show stopper. even for me...

kinda (but not), reminds me of the Driskol Hotel in Austin (cringing, people may have seen me there by mistake, and alone, not with anyone, while not drinking)...

funding... there's a concept. i love funding...

and the Bambi, is so cool, because when you drive thru, it's parked next to the rangers house. yike's he has NO commute. he should win, shortest mileage award. or something. glad i'm camping for free.

k.

ps i just got off the phone w/ Rockmount of Colorado. can't be under dressed; in the west (or under starched, or under ironed or...)...

being the newbie I could use some advice...
we plan on arriving around noon on Friday. Are there any do's and don'ts as to where to park and how to set up? We'll have the dogs with us so we usually try to park in a corner away from the main stage so we don't bother anyone. I presume, from the banter on this thread, that Mr. Bo will be on hand to offer pointers to the noviciate.

thanks

Mike

mr. whopper,

where have you been? i've missed you.

other than the spot for richard and jan which is i think (dangerous) is the first site on the left. (they need to check you in), pick any spot, any one. there's lots. keep the Hemi close, but there lots of room in back...

i'll be on the right side (i think it's the right side, if not it should be, i'm really right and red) , about site 210. old business is good business.

Mike,
Jan & I will greet you when you arrive. Kevbo is our backup, good help is hard to find . We would like everyone to check in with us when they arrive. We also have a welcome package for eveyone.

The area is arranged in a circle with the ramada and fire pit in the center. All the spots are good. We can help you pick out a spot if you like.

It looks like we will have plenty of pets. Airstreams and pets just seem to go hand in hand. The park rules are pretty standard: Pets on leashes and pick up after them. If you want to let you dogs run, there is plently of open spaces just a short walk from the area (I never told you this). If you want a wet dog, our lab found a small creek that runs just behind the area.

Mike,

We like it when all the newbies arrive during Happy Hour. That way if things go wrong while you back in or set up. We can all be enjoying our Cocktails while watching.

Seriously, Don't worry about a thing. Kevbo will point out your spot and everyone will leave you alone (they are being polite. not ignoring you) unless you ask for assistance. If you want a guide or adviser just tell Kevbo.

Nearly everyone will have dogs and/or Cats and of course Kevbo's Coors drinking Horses.

Here's the wierd part about these Rallies... These people are very nice and will gladley help you out just cause you asked. Strange group...

ya know....
I've sniffed around other rally threads to see how usual the banter is on this thread.
considering the ratio of serious:humorous:somewhat bizzare posts, this group seems to be ecclectic and bent on fun
we'll be fine... seems like we have happened onto a group that match our proclivities pretty well...
in all the excitement, i've lost track. Did anyone volunteer to be the photographer for the rally? I'll have our Cannon A630 along. I have been required to collect some record of Mr. Bo's antics. I'll be happy to upload whatever i get to a webzone for viewing and downloading if that is useful.

looking forward to meeting everyone!

We can't make the FCU Rally, but we will be there in spirit from afar with other support groups (Malibu), and we too believe that there is a match with "proclivities", although some may be outside the realm of sane discussion.

Axel hinted that he wanted to be the phot guy, and then he went off on some ink slinging thing. I suggest that everyone bring a camera. I have set up an area for anyone to post pictures on this forum. Click on PHOTOS, then select RALLY PHOTOS and you should see an area for this rally. Let's see if anyone can get a picture of Kevbo without a hat on!

Kevbo without a hat? No problem, he's gotta sleep sometime and unless he sleeps standing up with his hat on. Or, how about a 3am fire drill?
