Well. we are currently IN ABQ, after a leisurely mosey thru Arkansas for a couple of months...gonna go by the home without wheels and see how it looks since we left it back in the first week of January...just the thought of all those homebody chores-mowing, hunting/cutting/splitting/stacking wood, post-winter repairs/maintenance...kinda makes me wonder WHY the heck I'm goin' back(other than to check our investment)...maybe to empty out all the stuff we've drug all over that we thought was a good idea to take before we got out there and found out we : a.) didn't need it, b.) didn't actually want it, c.) didn't remember we brought it along in the firstplace, but discovered it while looking for something we didn't bring but should have...the list is as impressive as it is boring. What a wonderful life that these are the 'gripes'...I'm already to take off, and we aren't there, yet...
looking forward to seeing you all...does anyone want us to bring the little genset? it's on the list of burden-baggage-well-travelled-but-not-no-more, unless someone will really use it...Kevin, the peeps have been riding faithfully. and relatively quietly, so far............m&t

I figure we'll be out 2 or 3 weeks by the time we get to the Rally. I'll consult with the executive in charge of all that to figure a plan.
We're looking forward to meeting all of you.

So Ken, Which one of the "VIP" RV lots are we booked, VIP EAST 1, VIP EAST 2 or VIP WEST?

I think we will be in VIP West but Ken J will have to confirm that.

I haven't been on the Forum for a while and I just ran across this thread. I think this event would be something to tell tall stories about later. Especially a few days with lots of AS's. Are there any spaces left? If so, how would a person speak up for one? We are flamingo owning Arkansas AS cult members that enjoy good food, cold beer, music, laid back conversation, and enjoying doing nothing that resembles work. Would lilke to be there if space is available.

We'll make it (the ham) a point, then.
We plan to be in the Moab area before we drift down to Albuquerque. If anyone wants to meet up early, Arches/Canyonlands would be a beautiful place to do it!

I talked to the Balloon Fiesta folks today.
The first bit of news is we have 21 spaces which is how many we have received deposits for. As of today, they are completely full, so I'm sorry to say we cannot take any more units for this rally. I asked them to put 5 spaces on the waiting list as I'm sure we will have others who want to join us.
They cannot commit to us where VIP parking we will be at - she said it will be most likely west - they will know as we get closer.

Ken,
Thanks for the update. It is great that you put this together for us to participate. Any of the VIP lots look great as far as location. Did they mention if the 21 spaces are going to be together?
Also, a few of us from So Cal talked about a caravan to the rally, possibly meeting up somewhere near the I15 and I40 interchange. If you have any ideas, please chime in, all suggestions are welcome.
John

Yes we will all be together - so that will be really great.
All together now - party time!
I am going to do everything I can to get VIP west - its a little better location.
