Sitting in the tastefully equipped waiting room at Cummins/ONAN in ABQ(leather couches!)...spent the night in their parking lot, eating left-over Mexican food(yes, it WAS just as good)...
What a great group of people to share time with...Ken, G R E A T JOB, sir, so, when you start the next year's list, put us down as there, already.
We look forward to New Year's at Picacho, and Dead Horse(Richard&Jan-found the registration and check-it will be in the mail).

At the Fiesta Patti told me about a T-Shirt that they have at Meteor Crater RV Park. We had a rally there last month and I never saw it. We stopped on the way home and found that they had a few left. Thanks Patti, it was great to meet you and Tom. We look forward to seeing you again.

A Hot Time at the Fiesta ...
Luke, Donnarita and I caravanned 450 miles back to Colorado and arrived in the Denver Metro area under cover of darkness. We, along with Patti & Tom Reed, all had a superb time and enjoyed meeting many new-to-us enthusiastic Airstreamers.
The Rally location was excellent, a hop, skip and jump away from the heart of the Balloon Fiesta. This enabled everyone to come and go as each pleased, from pre-dawn darkness to after sunset. No busses or waiting in gridlock traffic for us. We were in the front line of all activity. And as Richard mentions, the Fiesta also came right to us: on Tuesday morning a few ballons landed in our camping area, allowing some to earn their spurs as balloon wranglers. Candles have two ends, and I for one burned from both, leaving the Rally as a spent puddle of wax.
Congratulations to Ken Johansen, the FCU officers and organizers for an excellent Rally in a can't-be-beat location at a World Class event. This is what Airstreaming is all about, jumping into fascinating local activities with both feet. I look forward to many more FCU events.

Ken J,
Did we ever decide who the long distance attendee winner was?

Jerry,
I think you won the shortest distance. Most of the balloons flew futher then you had to travel.

One of the running jokes this week was between Ken and myself. In case you did not know, I bought my trailer from Ken about 2 1/2 years ago or as Ken likes to say, he gave me the trailer and I paid for the restoration of his 58 Overlander. Ken keep asking me about something he might have lost in the trailer before he "gave" it to me. OK Ken, this is what I found when unpacking this morning. If you can tell me the correct serial number, it's yours.

Thats it!!!! Thats the one!!!! I look for it in the mail.
It always amazes me - I LET Richard have the HONOR of paying for my restoration AND the grateful guy that I am, I give him a really nice 75 Tradewind - no appreciation.....
Thank you very much for the very kind words Fred - next year promises to be better - starting to think of some things we can do to make it even better.
The most traveled distance I think is New Hampshure -

Can hardly wait till next year!!!
A BIG thank you to Ken (with help from Lew) for a GREAT rally! Although we haven't been very active on Forums we enjoyed meeting new Airstream friends and had some great moments with all! (how about that pot-luck supper!!!) We are ready to sign up for next year and bring a few more trailers with us!
Would love to post some of the hundreds of photo's we took but haven't figured out how to down-load them from the new camera we got just for this event! Thanks Ken for getting the group into such a super location!
