Ms Bam(et al),
I think I have more white hair than Ed, but less hair on my head than Ed, and my eyes are bluish(blueish?), (BLUSH, BLINK, BLINK),...I'm house-broke, paper-trained, and occasionally groom myself..except for that double-jointed thing...and I'm already married. If you won't adopt me, can I have your fridge?
Sincerely,
john

Drove Vespa out to the balloon park today and the place is a buzz with vendors setting up. Don't worry to much about forgetting something - someone will be selling it

Momentary panic mode...best laid plans...no good deed...etc...the next door liquor store says they may not be able to provide the kegette/tap in time...
Mr Ken: could you send me a couple of liquor store phone numbers in ABQ that might be able to provide the necessary refreshment, namely a kegette(pony keg) of Fat Tire by next Thursday or Friday?...please?(oh, please?)...
I'd rather that than having to buy a bunch of bottles(trash, don't ya know)...

Here is another map
of the balloon field.

Note the Chase Crew HQ on the left side of the map.
Those of you that want to load up your vehicle with
a bunch of screaming drunks, and roar after the balloons
careening over curbs and slow children can sign up here.

radio frequencies for balloons

The 700+ hot air balloons and their chase crews will be using all the FRS, GMRS and CB frequencies plus business band and even cell phones.

The gas balloon pilots will be on the amateur radio HF/VHF/UHF voice bands. They will be reporting their positions via packet radio 144.390 Mhz.
You need APRS software in your radio or on your PC to decode these transmissions into call sign, lat., long. and speed.
It is easier to just go to
Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta
and watch the action on your PC.

Will there WiFi access in the RV parking areas

I could not get a positive answer to this question.
I sent a query to Lobo Internet Support [support@lobo.net]
and got this reply.

Hi Jerry,

We don't know yet, we are aiming at that but no word yet
