ps - generally a tip of 25% of your total trips expenses is considered standard in the southwest. gold and or silver coinage preferred.

*raises hand*
Could you put me in the campsite next to Pat under the large shade tree near the pool behind the cafe?
Thanks.
-Bam
P.S. FYI, did you know that tipping is NOT allowed in New Mexico?

is it ms bam?
did we meet in prison? do i know you?
we haven't met yet, but i can assure you that NM is still part of the United States. tipping is legal. so are guns, feed stores, and cowboy bars...
i will however let that slide...
and yes i will place you as described.
just remember the rules;
if you diss me, i keep your money, kick you out, and will sully (for those of you living in Gorman, open a dictionary) your family name.
now i've got a tooth to brush, a hair to combover, and then meet up for some bowling w/ friends at the RV park.

Looking forward to hanging with the group during the Fiesta.

our schedule
The Times will be shooting for Tuesday boondocking at Kelbaker Road, east of Barstow, CA, and for sure Wednesday at Railside RV Ranch in Williams, AZ and Thursday at KOA in Grants, NM. Friday we will be caravaning into Albuquerque and meeting up with Ken J at the TBD designated meeting area prior to entering the Fiesta Park.
I have dutifully warned both parks of our typical foolery and both returned with a "bring it on" attitude, with the folks at Railside actually promoting such activity. I now understand why Kevbo gave Railside RV Ranch a "must" rating while staying in Williams.

My Lady friend's coming
So Melvene says " How come your going to the fiesta without me?" You can see where this is going. I told her it could be dangerous as there is a person who talks in some sort of tongues from California coming and I don't know who all else. It might not be safe for a sweet little ol gal like you. She said not to worry as she has her black belt (see picture). Well, not one to give in easily I told her "but, you don't like to ride for long periods of time". Melvene is flying in on Thursday the eighth
For the Top Sail forum rally pot luck I made Cajun Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya in the ol dutch oven - came out pretty good and since I must travel through Cajun country (need the right stuff ) to get to the Fiesta, I guess I'll try it again. I've been told that drinking three, four beers (not Coors) can improve the experience. I have made several refinments since Top Sail and it all gets et.
Looking forward to meeting and seeing you-all real soon now! Melvene says I'll be on my best behavior. . Oh, the first picture is ZAP - she's coming too.

I did take my trailer to Chaco several years ago - would not do it again, not because of the rough road but the way I was driving (about 10 mph) it took forever to get back there (16 miles) - only way not to tear everything up. Great once we got there. So it can be done if you have patience and plenty of time.

mr rivet,
outstanding what your other half is attending. the more the merrier. however, i never met a beer i didn't like. lets say that were stranded on a desert island with only 100 cases of coors. do i share w/ you? would you say no? as my mother would have said; well she would have said either, "good more for me", or "tossem and lets go".
i'm doing both cowboy beer and belgium beer, but following my theme of beer.
see you in Grants, and i'll share my toys, all of them.
upon further review of you pictures, i'm placing you close ot me. that picture with the table full of food needs a guard, about seven foot tall.

Thanks for the Chaco report, Ken. It would be fun to get the rig all the way back in there, just for the ability to be in the middle of Chaco. And dark starry nights, too. I may test the water, then, and use Blanco as a fall-back.
I've had a some experience with long dirt/gravel road - the Top of the World was a heckova road. But I would need to really consider whether I want to do that kind of travelling again.
Now what does it mean that we have a Western theme for this trip?

The Mrs. and I will join ya'll off Kelbaker Rd. We'll hang with the group until Fri. While you go ballooning we'll be heading for Tucson. Anybody know if 60 is trailer friendly?
From Tucson we'll be heading home so Karen can get to work on Tues.
