El Camino Real

We spent the last weekend with about 25 of our El Camino Real friends at the Anaheim RV Village in Anaheim, CA. The rally site was a long drive for us, 4.4 miles. But the distance was unimportant, the chance to be with friends was the goal.

Although it seemed that little was planned, we were busy the entire time. On Thursday we went on a tour of Chapman University, including the Dodge Film School followed by lunch on your own, we went to the Filling Station in downtown Orange. After lunch, four of us us went to Area 63 to see Uwe's studio and works in progress. On Thursday night we listened to an historian talk about Orange County history and the Spanish and Mexican ranchos. Friday was a chance to go to Disneyland, but we stayed onsite and enjoyed the great Southern California weather. Saturday was another trip to Area 63 and the catered dinner by The71Chuckwagon: The Chuckwagon , a 1971 Tradewind with a full commercial kitchen.

On Sunday, we left about 10 AM for our 15 minute drive home. Another great El Camino Real WBCCI rally.

Next stop, the installation rally in Indio.

Bill

Sounds like fun with El Camino

We picked up SteSpot from Uwe on Friday---sorry to miss you all. I was worried about driving back to Thousand Oaks in the rain on Saturday. We did get to see the Caravel headed for Texas when we were there....A really fine rebuild by Uwe.....

We are expecting delivery on a 1982 24' Airstream MH in the next few days.....this is an addition to and not instead of our dear SteSpot....it is another projex........

Sorry we didn't make your rally. paula

It was a fun rally. We could enjoy the fireworks at Disneyland right from the RV park.

Great time.
