okay you got me curious, I looked at the 2 newpaper clippings, tell us more. Where you on this caravan? What were you driving? Was it new? Who were you with? Was Mr Wally B there in person? How cool was that? How much did the benzene cost in those days? How far? How many days. Are you going on the anniversary caravan?

Sorry I don't have any personal experiences to share about these caravans; they took place four years before I was born! If I try hard enough, maybe I can recall some events from my past life.

The articles came from the Dec., 1957, issue of The Caravanner, a newspaper of the Wally Byam Caravan Club. A copy of the paper, together with a bunch of old documents came from the PO of our trailer.

I posted some of articles here and there in the forum, but now thanks to Andy,we have 10MB of space in our photo gallery, so I've uploaded the entire newspaper for folks to read. You can find it at the following link:
