I really need to be there :(
Ken,
We tried to make it at the last minute, but getting a flight was not possible.
We will defiantly be there next year.
Looks like a great turnout.
Keep posting those photos.

Sorry you could not make it! Everything is going great and boy are people learning. Levon has given you a good selection of "bird's eye" views. Here he is at his excellent polishing demo.

Thanks so much for the pictures and commentary. I am SO missing being there this year. We picked up so much info last year and are still using it. (Right now I'm shaving Olympic rivets). We hope to be back next year WITH the Airstream this time! Say Hi to everyone from us!

Great rally so far where many of the attendees are newbies but several folks have returned year after year as they tackle their restoration projects.
Patti Reed gave a great seminar on towing;
Jim Polk kicked off the event with his restoration of a 1954 Flying Cloud named Pearl; Roger and Kip share their knowledge on just about everything;
Tech Hour when all presenters assemble each evening to answer all your questions.

Minno! Fantastic! You are obviously with us in spirit. Keep up the good work and w'ell see you next year with Airstream in tow. Remember though everyone, your Airstream does not have to be Perfect or even finished to learn and enjoy yourself at this fabulous seminar/rally.

Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse... but you take a boat in the air that you don't love... she'll shake you off just as sure as the turn of the worlds.

Man - I soooooooo wish we had made it. Especially after seeing the pics on replacing the skin and repairing the door of Ken's trailer. Business travel for me (Week in the Boston area) prevented us from making it this year.
Question though - maybe for Kip or Roger. In the pic below, someone is using a tool to cut through rivets to remove the panel. What is that tool? A chisel of some form, but it anything special? Looks a lot easier than drilling out an entire row of rivets. Which we'll be doing very soon to install the new side wraps around the bottom.

Really?? It looks more heavy-duty than that in the picture! I have one, so I'll give it a shot. Did you grind or file any kind of sharp edge on it?
Thanks,
Chris

I'd love to see it sometime. I've always been interested in these type of energy efficiency homes and self sustainability. JT (54 bread loaf)
