This am we attended a presentation by Justin Humphreys, the VP of Sales for AS. Very interesting and informative. He reviewed the decisions made last year during the pandemic and how they were wrong. They laid off 240 people thinking the pandemic would cause a major negative impact on AS sales. As it turned out by July of 2019 all inventory was sold out and they have been playing catchup ever since. In fact he said he thinks it will be two years before things normalize.
Supply chain issues are a huge problem. Like foam for seats and mattresses. And a myriad of other things. He said he has never experienced anything like this in his 20 years in the industry.
He gave some updates about the new plant which will be open for tours at Alumapooluza. At the plant they have a clinic that provides free health care for all employees and their families. I found that interesting. Of course the customers are paying for that but it seems like the benefits outweigh the cost!
If anyone has any questions relative to his presentation I'll try to remember his comments on that subject.

Thank you VERY MUCH to all of you that posted photos from both Lebanon and Cedars. Love the overhead drone shots and of course the various vintage photos.
Being a vintage owner we're always looking for inspiring creative modification and finishes.
With 2023 being in Wyoming maybe we'll make that a goal for us.

We are pulling up stakes this morning as we head back to PA.
It was a great rally! Met some old friends, made some new ones, attended a lot of seminars and product presentations. I thoroughly enjoyed the presentation by Justin Humphreys on what AS is doing and why. Lots of insight into the future plans and the challenges of building AS and supplying the ever increasing demand.
We enjoyed the entertainment as well! I even won a prize in the photo contest which made me happy!
All in all it lived up to the hype and we hope to be able to go to Maine next July for the 65th International Rally!

It was my first rally and it was fun but boy it was hot and I live in Florida. Thank goodness for 50 amp service. Got some new toys, Micro-air Easy Touch RV thermostat and a new surge protector. Looked at the new Classic and I’m going to steal some ideas but I’ll keep mine.

Maybe one of the best reasons for attending is the ability to get that on site service, sometimes from supporting dealerships but also from the manufacturers.

It is good to be "On the road again".

Did you stay off-site? If not, how did you get 50 amp service? We were only offered 30 amp or generator site...but you cannot run a generator at your site if you had power.
We could not stay for the entire rally so we stayed at Cedars of Lebanon State Park about 10 miles away. Very nice, would recommend.

At the last minute they offered 50 amp. A week before the event.

That was surely a nice surprise! They seemed very accommodating at the rally.
Hope it's there again (we live in TN!)

This was my 3rd International Rally since owing my AS. Previously went to Escanaba, MI and VA 2 years ago. I am curious, where do most owners put the gold metal emblem provided to participants inside their AS?

It is not all seminars, though there will be many seminars on a variety of topics for you to choose from if that interests you. There will be evening entertainment, and various tours, and the Vintage Airstream Parade and Vintage Airstream Open House. There will be some meals and music and maybe a dance. A few business meetings for club officers, but members typically don't sit in unless they want to. There is a vendor area for Airstream and camping related products for sale. And a flea market one day.
And then there is the informal reunions with old friends and making new friends.
Things are nowhere as rigid and formal as you may have heard they were decades ago. Most first timets I met at Lebanon had a great time.
Next year, 2022, will be in Freyberg, Maine.

You might be a little late for the 2021 Rally. Are you referring to the 2022 Rally in Maine? If so I do hope to see you there!
