Hey Ken:

This has been on my bucket list for decades, but the balloon festival runs from 9/30 to 10/9, but the rally ends earlier? What if we want to stay for the entire run?

We do our rally over the first weekend - you are welcome to stay longer and we can help you arrange that if you like - they will probably move you from our spot as other groups come in after us..

Nope - we just did the new sign up sheet to give a little more info and make it a bit more snazzy - so if you sent the other sign up sheet - you are good to go.

My husband and I are completing the form and writing a check tonight and will have it in the mail tomorrow. We really wanted to attend last year, but didn't make it. We were planning on coming to New Mexico this year on vacation, so this just clenched the "when" date. It will be our 35th wedding anniversary trip, so watching the 40th annual balloon festival will be a real treat for us.

Wow wow wow - what a way to celebrate - it will be an anniversary you will not forget!

I am working with Pee Wee Schwamborn who is planning to attend - if you don't know him, he is the only living Byam left - his mom Helen ran the WBCCI for many years and is Wally's cousiin - Pee Wee went on most of the carivans in the late 50's early 60's....

One little issue - he no longer owns an Airstream - so we are looking for a trailer for him to stay in - we do have an option for him to stay in town, but it would be so much nicer if we could find a trailer for he and his wife to stay in - so any of you have any ideas on that, we would very much appreciate it...

Very good - just as a reminder, I need to have all reservations by 3/15 to secure a spot - after that, we will just have to see what the balloon folks say - they are usually pretty good, but I can't promise anything past the 15th at this point

Ken: Not only do you host one of the most fabulous rallies of the year, but you're also bringing in PeeWee??! I don't know how you did it, but what a fantastic rally this will be in '11! This will be our fifth year in a row at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta (it is never boring!), and will surely be one of the greatest with the 40th anniversary of the Fiesta this year, AND PeeWee Schwamborn attending. PeeWee's mother (Wally's cousin), Helen Byam Schwamborn, signed our club's original charter back in 1965. I look forward to having the opportunity to chat with Mr. Schwamborn, and to meet Airstreamers from, literally, around the U.S.!

If you are considering this rally, do not let it pass you by! The colorful balloons, from all around the world, pass right over the sea of Airstreams and are incredible to watch!

Yup - this is going to be good - reservations are filling my mail box - and with Pee Wee, I think this will be like a rally back in the day - he is also an incredible photographer, so we can be sure to see some great pics...

I'm still looking for accomodations on site for him though - I would apprecitate any ideas..
