You-all know that Texas has always been the "HOT AIR" capital.
I think it's very nice that another state is trying to move in, even for a few hours. LOL
The quietness and peace, of and in, space, is over welming.
Hope everyone has a fantastic great and safe time, balloning.

Another "typical" morning at the ABQ Balloon Fiesta
These photos were taken this morning right outside our AS. Wow!!!!
This was our first time rally and trip to the Fiesta. Many thanks to the 4CU, especially Ken Johansen, for organizing this fabulous event.

Darn I wish Karen and I could have made it, but health problems have me grounded for the time being..looks even better this year then when we attended, the special balloons were stranded in China that year..

We are making our way west in I-40, heading to Cali, but still have visions of the balloons in our heads. Loved to watch them fill the sky on Tuesday, our last day at the Fiesta. We met so many wonderful people, but that is to be expected with 'Streamers. Safe travels to everyone until we meet again next year at the 41st Fiesta!

We are in Santa Fe now and ballooned. it was great time and only by being there can you feel it all, see it all and enjoy it all. I'll post photos and the story on http://www.airforums.com/forums/f42/...a-78859-2.html starting with post 181. This will come later as it is lunch time and shower time, not simultaneously.

Thanks for letting us tag along. It was really great to meet so many nice people all in one place. We did figure out that 3 days is our limit for boondocking with a big hairy dog. But she sure did enjoy meeting everybody too! ...Jim Wendy & Roxie

2011 America's Challenge Gas Balloon Race
Here is a race update, an American team has opened up a very slim 10 mile lead over the UK team. They are in North Dakota headed toward Canada. All other teams have landed.

We are in Ojo Caliente having spent yesterday afternoon and this morning in Santa Fe. Getting ready to enjoy hot springs and massages. We feel exhilarated, relaxed and lucky to be a part of such a great group. This was our first rally, first balloon fiesta and we had the supreme luck to be camped next to people who will soon be our neighbors and camping buddies!! Thanks to John and Kay for introducing us to central coast streamers and to all of you who made us feel so welcome. Lynda- our hats off to you and the rest of hard working volunteers. Everything from parking to mega potluck went smoothly. Loved meeting other air streamers from Texas, Iowa (Ed and Eileen- time for you to plan your California trip! We miss you already), and many others who added to this special experience. Loved being able to put faces to names we see on the forums. Will post more pics when get home.
Safe journey to all.
Liz & Robin.

Shortly after we arrived in Santa Fe it started raining and it got harder after a while. The first early winter storm is here, and fortunately it waited until we left the Fiesta. We will get to Colorado Thursday afternoon and may see snow on our way home Saturday.
Here at Trailer Ranch there were a couple of Airstreams when we arrived. We haven't looked outside since noon—got a nap and a shower. Four days dry camping is about the limit for our tanks, so a shower was very welcome. The pump trucks charge $25 for water and $25 for a dump. We weren't interested in a $50 shower. I think we will go to Mudu Noodles for birthday dinner. It's been another birthday without me getting a Porsche 911, but maybe it's parked in front of the trailer having arrived while I slept.
