Tried posting a minute ago, so if this repeats sorry!! Internet connection issues at KOA. Dave wants to know if anyone will be using a CB for communication into Camping World and the Fiesta? Probably not, everyone has cell phones, but thought we would ask?

If using, please let us know what channel. Thanks!! Can hardly wait for tomorrow!!! woohoo!

Arrived at the Field last night where the committee met to go over details. You are in good hands! Parking Staff here at the Field are ready to handle the sea of silver which is coming their way today. They are the experts at this, be good to them and do as they say...thanks!

Winds have died down, all looks great for a terrific Fiesta!

Just heard on TV that the winds are too high this morning to recreate the first ascension 40 years ago, but they should die down later today. The winds, not the balloons.

It is a bit breezy here at Enchanted Trails, but nothing like the winds yesterday. 55.9˚ in our bumper storage. The sky looks clear as the sun comes up.

We'll be driving over to Camping World shortly.

Who needs Pamplona and the running of the bulls when we have Camping World and our herding of the flamingos?! How nice to meet such an enthusiastic crowd early in the morning! A special 'thank you' to all Airstreamers for your patience as we checked you in and sent you down the road, a dozen rigs at a time!

This sea of silver is absolutely amazing! I'm sure more photos will be posted throughout the day, so stay tuned. Right now, still early morning, people are gathering outside the Fiesta gates, some arriving and checking their bicycles, and preparing for the 40th anniversary of this international event. Temps are mild (a few stocking hats but just as many shorts!)

The Mega-Potluck is this evening! Same place (front row) as last night's meet & greet. Please bring a dish....appetizer, entree, or dessert, your choice, and join us at 5:00 as we thank the Fiesta staff who so graciously 'put us in our place'.

Now get out there and enjoy the balloons!

The Fiesta starts early and goes well into the night...from pre-dawn launch to the Glow in the evening. All the balloons are beautiful, from the simple to the complicated. We can expect more of the special shapes today! Lynda ably demonstrates what most of us did all day.
