Flea Market

Are we doing anything like that this year? I have lots of odds and ends that I am sure someone will want. Most of it for free, I might require a bit of labor in exchange

Some parts are vintage. Light fixtures etc...

I have the original heater as well.
Works!

I'll be installing a Wave3 someday.

Hi,

I'm a new member, and since it will be a while before I have an Airstream, I plan on staying in a motel for the rally. Does anyone have any recommendations for where to stay?

Thanks

Jen

Let's see how wrong I can get this.

I-40 west of town consists of truck stop exits and some older parts of town that lie between the River and I-25. Advantage, close to the rally and maybe a choice of moderate priced chain motels.

But I'd pick Central Ave between I-25 and the University and maybe even a bit further east on Central, but not much. Lots of great bars and restaurants, some older places left over from Route 66, and a very comfortable older feel to it. Disadvantage, about 15 miles out to the rally and maybe a few "colorful" people. Love it. The "downtown" area is just across I-25 to the west.

Then there's the standard airport stuff down between I-25 and the airport. Ick.

The Marriott on the north side of I-40 at Louisianna is surrounded by shopping--it's a "standard America" area.

If you go north on I-25 in the area where the the Marriott Pyramid is, you're in the business/light industrial area, very nice for business travelers, safe, modern, and antiseptic.

Whew....that was close!

Scared me! I called the park for reservations this morning....eventhough I had signed up for the Rally over a month ago...I had to have a better handle on my schedule for June before calling the park.....so today I felt I could do that. Lady that answered...not Vicki...said she thought all spaces were gone and reserved already. She took my info anyway.
Moral is....don't wait any longer.

That is correct - all the spaces are reserved - for some Airstream Vintage Restoration rally - oh... thats us! We still have room - not much, but we still have room, so whoever answered the phone probably did not realize that we is us....

It's a go for me and I just made my reservations. I will be in my Aluminum Tent again this year as I have done nothing on it since before last years rally. I will be getting home from Mojave Ca just in time to leave for the rally. Upon getting home from the rally I go to flight simulator and then back to Mojave. Aviation is really starting to suck up to much Airstream time.

Well I just made my reservations at the campground. It's a long trip, but I expect it to be worth every minute of it. I have sooooooo much work still to do any tips will be wonderful.

Thanks for the tips. I definitely would prefer a place to stay with a little character.

My check is in the mail - I just have to decide how I'm gonna get there now!

We hope you make this rally too!

We still have at least one trailer available to rent if you are coming without yours...

I'll be there . . .

Hi Ken:

Just made my reservations with Enchanted Trails but still have to register for the Rally. I'll be caravaning down with a motley Colorado crew on Wednesday, and we'll probably arrive under cover of darkness, our favorite color. See you in 6 weeks!

Spots Left? should know this week.

Ken, All,
We are finalizing our plans to attend this rally. We should know in a week or so. Are there spots still left? We stayed at ET last year, great place!

I'll be learning and helping where I can. We have a '70 Safari back home with lots of work to do. We will however be bringing out our '07 rig. We just installed two AM solar panels and controller, willing to show. We are also setting this rig to full time, adding two additional batteries under the forward compartments.

We'll confirm as soon as possible. Long haul for us so pulling chocks early Sunday to get back!
Thanks, Bob 'n Nanc, Pine Valley, CA. 4CU
