Yes, we've been watching the coverage on the local news. Pretty ugly! At least nobody was killed this year (yet).

Nice shots Richard. We enjoyed them from the 20" LCD in our sunroom.
Weather still a little unsettled in SW colo. Yesterday in Denver was an excellent day so your trip up to Region should be O.K. Watch for snow in the high country. There is snow on La Plata's near Durango.

How is everyone doing on their trip home from the fiesta?
Jan and I went North and are camped in Angel Fire, NM at forums member Eubank's RV park. We have a mini rally of sorts with 3 Airstreams in a row. I'll post a few pictures later.
It has warmed up this morning to 32 and wet. It was 20 last night!

The special shpe Balloons will arrive in Albuerqurque Tonight. So they should be in this weekends Fiestas. Hopefully there is no significant damage.

Dang. I sort of figured that it might be bad down there, too.
Oh, well, this storm is presumbly one that will pass over fairly quickly, so everything should be good to go by tomorrow or the next day. (But not before it leaves some of that dreaded white stuff up here.)

Great Rally!
We arrived back home this afternoon - woke up early this AM ready for the Dawn Patrol - only to find we were at the Holbrook KOA!!!

Heading out Friday for NM...

We head out for New Mexico Friday. Nanc and I take in the balloons on Saturday before heading up a bit for Santa Fe and nearby areas.

Fantastic experience, still have visions of BALLOONS and 500 pics to sort and edit. 100 times better then I expected. Got my friend off at the Airport, he was delighted and returning home to have open heart surgery. No one stopped me going through the AP with the trailer in tow.

I'm really glad you all had a great time - wow open heart surgery - I hope he's ok - really nice fellow - hope to see him again.
Will be back again next year - the balloon folks really like us, so at some point maybe we can fill the entire site wouldn't that be something...

We are still headed north. We are camped at the Air Force Academy camp grounds in Colorado Springs this morning. It's 34 degrees with a little snow. We should be at the Region Rally in Fort Collins early this afternoon. Charlie and Dorothy from Las Vegas are our travel partners for the trip and it has been a lot of fun.

Ugh! Pretty much the same forecast for Angel Fire: 50% chance of the white stuff tonight, according to the Weather Channel. Makes me want to hitch up and head south!

It's a cool and crisp 42 degrees here and there isn't a cloud in the sky. A fall morning doesn't get any better than this. I can see the balloons in the distance from my patio. They are drifting to the north so there may be some landing in my neighborhood. I'll have to get the camera ready!
