Please do stop by. If we are at the same location as last year (and we should), we will be next to the balloon museum which is located at the end of the field. With 30 Airstreams parked together, we should be easy to find.

Hey gang!
Hitting the road tomorrow at around the crack of noon!!!!!
I'll be headed thru Moab, UT on Monday with a late Tues. afternoon arrival in ABQ. I have some work on a friends new trailer scheduled for all day Wed at Enchanted Trails RV Park in ABQ, and on Thurs. Ken J. and I will be 'walking' the approach route to the Fiesta Park so there will be no lane challenges this year .
I WILL be working at this rally (primarily for Aqua-Hot, which is a hydronic heating system on the large diesel MoHos), so if any of you have Airstream problems that need to be addressed, let me know via PM.

Only a few more days!!!!
First of all - safe travels to everyone
I just have a couple of questions...
How many chilE chefs do we have for friday? For those of us who are making chilE, how much should we be making? What about bowls, spoons etc?
Is Saturday's potluck planned or is it a true pot luck??
Just to get everyone excited... the embroidery on the FCU shirts looks great!!

J&R - PopRivet is the chili man. He is bringing the stuff to go with the chili along with the cash prize for the winner. I am preparing my batch even as we speak. Mike (scarpirony2) mentioned that he has made some as well. I hope the breeze is blowing East right now so you can enjoy the aroma of my Baby's Breath Chili. Not too hot , but tons of flavor. All meat and no beans....

OK - so Rod and I were just talking it over and we'll do New Mexican Green Chile Stew. Somehow that seems appropriate.

Sorry to be jumping into the fray of conversation at such a late date. Luckily Mike and Tracy wrote and woke us up to the fact that it was upon us. Time flies! Living in one place (Phoenix) for 32 yrs. in a big house and downsizing to simpler, more remote and appropriate environs has been a (happy) challenge. I should whine; don't tell our full-timers who can merrily cram what really matters into their rigs. (True adoration and envy of them!)
Anyhow, we will come bearing Steve's chili so count us in as one of the suppliers of the goods.
We'll be sneaking in the back way from Camp Verde, AZ...across 260 and up 117 in NM to Grants Pass. Is there still room for us at the KOA? If not, we'll meet up the next day there for the Caravan in with you guys. Sorry that we haven't read everything posted to know the name of the KOA to seek refuge at. I'm sure I can look back and find it or figure it out, just getting a late start.
4 DAYS!!!
Reg

Glad to hear from guys. Life must be good in the Verde Valley. Here is a link to the KOA: Grants New Mexico Camping, Grants/Cibola Sands Campground in New Mexico - KOA in Grants
I just looked on line and they have a few spots left, grab one. If you can tell them you are with the Airstream group and hopefully they can get us together. If not, it's not that big of a park. C U in a few days...

Richard, were you going to distribute cell phone numbers from those meeting along the way from CA and AZ?

We're getting closer! We spent the night in Hobbs and are leaving for Carlsbad this morning. After we go to Roswell to see the alien culture we will be in Enchanted Trails RV on the 2nd. We are bringing chile with beans. Chile without beans is serious eating, chile with beans is just plain fun.

I get so confused with the spellings...there's green chile, Texas chili, chilly weather, and love chile...a veritable smorgasborg of sensations...
We'll be at Enchanted Trails this afternoon...will post a site # when assigned

Darnit (have to be correct here) Jim I'm just an accountant! hee hee
I've been wondering about that myself - so if there is some "official" spelling of Chilliey, please let us know....
Make sure your holding tanks are empty for this event -)
Say hey to Vicki (the owner of Enchanted Trails) she is a great lady and knows us Airstreamer types are coming - I'll try to get by Thurs afternoon/evening and say hey to everybody.

I just e-mailed everyone who is attending - and I assume everyone is meeting at Camping World because I've not heard from anyone who is not. If you are not meeting us at Camping World, you may not find us...

FYI - Local news said today an overall smaller RV turnout expected due to the price of fuel.

...and our RV is the same size as last year...
We're in slot E-12 at Enchanted Trails...close to the dumpsters and the dump station AND the horseshoe pits.
Two other AS here...one in storage, and one with NM plates that was here in July.
