I leave tomorrow from Eastern Michigan, catching the U.S.S. Badger ferry from Ludington Michigan to Manitoc Wisconsin. Joining the Wisconsin caravan at Appleton then heading through Minnesota, 2 state parks in North Dakota, army corp of engineers camp in Montana, Glacier National Park for a couple of nights, the state recreation area in Washington and finally down to Salem on the 25th.
Cory thank you for hooking me up with the caravan, see you in Washington.
Goodness, so much to do today. It seems the hurrier I go, the behinder I get.

Great we will see you the 24th at the recreation area in Wa. glad you could join in the caravan.

here's an idea......
i'm gonna put my 'air' oval on my badge, nameplate, shirt or some body part....
this way we can be recognized while walking around!
others?
i'm enthusiastic about the forums.......
but not enough to get an 'air oval' tatoo!
cheers

2air,
If you want a neat 2laner in Oregon off I-84, try highway 26 out of Ontario, OR or hwy 7 out of Baker City to hwy 26. The drive thru the John Day river valley is spectacular, esp by Strawberry Mtn. There is also a neat campground called Clyde Holliday SP just west of John Day. We took this route to Kansas recently and came back the same way. Hardly any traffic and good roads (much more scenic and better road than hwy 20 to Burns).
As far as meeting forum members, we're going to visit the members at Silver Falls one night, so you're welcome to tag along with us if you are up to it. Of course, it might offend you to ride with a couple of Wildcats!
Darol Ingalls, the host for the Silver Falls rally hasn't designated an official visit evening for wb'ers at their campsite yet. Maybe they can pick an evening to have us all up there!
BTW.......We'll be in the "generator with pets" section and have our AIR stickers on our CCD. #3538
It'll be great to meet you and all the rest of the AIR folk!

Silver Falls State Park
I hope some one is informing Silver Falls that the group area will have visitors. It sounds like there will be enough parking. It would also be a good idea to let the host know what is going on. The Park would appreciate communication! I can always talk to a Ranger, too, about the well behaved visitors that will be arriving!
I hosted at Silver Falls last year...

Are there day passes for the park at the gate? I heard there was hiking and I thought I would get some pictures. Not that the group wouldn't be worth the trip alone!

I've indicated that there may be day visitors to our group camp site and will clear it with the ranger(s) when I arrive Saturday. I don't see that there would be a problem since there are going to be vacant spaces in the area. Visitors should be aware that there is a $3 day use fee and I'm not sure that that can be avoided, but it would give you access to all the hiking trails and the main park area at South Falls. Not a bad deal for day in the woods! Darol
