Smile Reservation Made

I will be at the rally with my parents and a pack of dogs in their 30 ft. International Signature at site #36. We look forward to meeting everyone. I just noticed my dad posted right above me.

Hi Folks,
So glad to see we're going to have a great turn out! This is a smaller campground....maybe it will be all silver!

Hi all,
Happy New Years! Just a bump for this thread. I think we're somewhere around 16-18 trailers.

We're really looking forward to see everyone at the Pinnacles in Feb.
Yes, off-white is definitely part of the group. The Argosys were a huge hit at Rivernook.

Hi Cara,

We invited another vintage Globetrotter from Idyllwild to come. I believe Chris and I, my dad Don, and this GT are in the 3 dry sites in the center along the river. Our '53 FC is getting some new skins, so we might in fiberglass... :?

We're so ready for this- had the trailer at the house this weekend, fiddling around with it, and can't wait to hit the road!

Thread bump!

We're ready too! We went out to our local lake for the weekend. It sure was nice to enjoy the warm weather in January.
We're doubly excited for the Pinnacles Rally in Feb!

Let's all pray for rain so we can see some wildflowers in March!

Does anyone have any suggestions for a route from SOCAL? I heard there are some switchbacks on the way in to the sequioa's? Is this true?

thanks in advance!

If you take the 99 up, then exit to 198 East. It will take you right around Lake Kaweah, and up to Three Rivers. It's not a bad drive at all.

The campground is about 7 miles before the entrance to the Sequoia National Park, and from the entrance it's quite a drive up a mountain road to get up to the giant trees. You will not be able to take your trailer up there.

Smile Up From So Cal

Just like the guy said. I would add, take the 5 north through Tejon Pass. You'll find the 99 right as you approach Bakersfield.

The very crooked part you heard about is past where we are staying. So, no worries for you there.

I hope they have snow at the big trees. I keep looking at webcams. One is out of order and showing an archive photo. The rest don't look very snowy. I want some snowy Sequoia tree shots.

My dad spoke with the RV park owner who said not to miss the turnoff to the park because it's difficult to turn around farther up the road.
